Due to the heat wave and water "rationing" this year in So Cal, my garden was not very productive but I I can't complain as it still has been enough to feed my little family, can and dehydrate. And whatever it lacks I replenish with a good ol' delivery from Whole Foods. I had a couple of petite steaks in the fridge from my. dad's friend Marty's ranch that he gifted me and I decided having them for breakfast would be the way to go. Out came the cast iron and our appetites! I love my steaks medium rare and fried in ghee with plenty of pepper, garlic salt and thyme from my garden.
After they had cooked to my liking I let them rest and prepared a side of veggie scramble for myself....
And buttery eggs and potatoes for my son.
Simple, yet delicious and not a crumb was left on our plates!
