Lately, I've been busy outside the house to take care of some documents about my family. So, I'm rarely at home. That's why I spend more time outside the house. Also to relax a little and breathe a sigh of relief.
Like today, I decided to stop by alone at a cafe on the edge of the rice field. I wanted to rest my body and mind for a while before I went home.
The sky was beautiful. Indeed, I had missed the sunset session here. But the sky after sunset still displayed a beautiful beauty to behold.
You can see from my seating area, in the distance there are rice fields that are yellowish green. This is because the grains of rice have started to appear from the rice plants. So that it creates a yellowish color on the rice in the rice fields.
My Matcha Latte order arrived. A cup of bitter drink, but not sweet because it is made from green tea powder. Not sweet, but rich in antioxidants.
Maybe for those of you who are not used to matcha latte, the taste of this drink will be strange. It feels like a strange powder. But once you get used to it, it doesn't matter. Add a little sweetener if you are not used to it.
I sipped Matcha Lattee while looking at the rice fields. Soon it would be completely dark by night.
I like the time when I have me time, and allow my mind to rest for a while from whatever it is.
Meanwhile, if I am with my husband or with my friends, we usually tend to chat for a long time. And that makes me not have enough time to feel relaxed.
It is very important for us to apply resting the mind such as sitting on the edge of a green natural area that makes us feel calm. You also don't need to leave the house if you already have a garden and a fish pond in your home area to help you relax more.
To accompany my relaxing time, I also ordered my favorite traditional snack, fried cassava.
I really like fried cassava without any additional flour and this time using hot sauce as a serving.
The texture of the fried cassava on the outer layer is still crispy. Meanwhile, the inside is soft. Oh, a snack full of love with a delicious taste. Even though it is only made in a traditional way. Making it in a traditional way will minimize over-processed food compared to more modern and viral foods that are more processed.
Have you ever tried fried cassava at home? If you find cassava in a traditional market, then you can make fried cassava. But you have to boil the cassava first so that the texture of the inside of the cassava becomes softer later.
If you don't have a supply of cassava, you can also replace cassava with sweet potato for a snack that is also delicious to accompany tea or coffee time!

My objection was that even in small places, you can find something valuable to share...
This post is a perfect example of that! I would never have imagined that the "simple" rice fields could look so beautiful! We need to appreciate the small things that we have more... Also, having free time for ourselves is crucial for mental health...

Definitely, that snack of fried yucca with spicy, the coffee, the beautiful landscape and the view you have from that place, is just something cozy that evokes peace, it is a good place to spend a beautiful sunset as you show in the photos.

A cafe at the edge of rice field....hmm sounds like a nice idea for a start-up. We have the rice fields but never though of this idea..or else due lower turnout. But u gave me an idea to think on something...This is indeed a beautiful set up, a perfect place for a "me alone time"
That cafe is located into a really nice place. You can experience the best in there for sure, with a yummy snacks and delicious drinks. I already tried fried cassava before, we sprinkled sugar in it to make iy mote sweeter. And it's the best especially is it crispy too. And the sweetness coated into the cassava has soft texture inside. It's been a while, it's really just hard to cut the cassava though. I can't even cut it into a same size. Lol

OMG! Just as I was about to say that your bitter drink looks beautiful and colorful—anyone would doubt if it's actually bitter—I came across fried cassava. Honestly, I have never heard of that before. Here in Africa, cassava is very common, and we have several ways of processing it into consumable food, but fried cassava? No, I’ve never heard of it before.
Eating something while watching a beautiful view makes the food even more delicious. The view is very nice, you had a pleasant time.

@anggreklestari I am surprised to see that there is a rice crop, maybe it is hot season there. We have quite a cold here so after two months the rice crop will be cultivated here.
A cup of tea beside a green rice field is very soothing. There is no doubt that looking at nature reduces tension and gives a feeling of relaxation. I also often go to my fields to relax my mind for a while which is very good for health.

What you say about matcha happened to me, but the second time I tried it. The first time, it was a hot matcha latte, and I loved its flavor and aroma, but the second time, it was iced matcha latte. Not good.

Although I have plenty of places to do it here at home, I felt like a change of scenery. And when you're in company, chats are inevitable... sometimes it's good to go to some places alone and enjoy them just like that.

I remembered the time when we went to the Province. The sceneries is just like this, wide and plain place of rice field. But the most interesting and amazing in the place you went Ma'am is the coffee shop at the middle of the rice. I really amazed of it. ☺

I'm used to seeing rice fields from the ground level and not aerial. A different look where I can't tell what crop is being planted and harvested. I appreciate this alternate view. The verdant area looks well kept.
