Shang Chi restaurant, located at 84 Trung Hoa, left a strong impression on me with its innovative and delightful Taiwanese conveyor hot pot concept. During my visit, I enjoyed fresh dishes and experienced a new conveyor belt hotpot style. For $13, I savored fresh and delicious meats, seafood, vegetables, and desserts.
Stepping into the world of culinary innovation at Shang Chi, where traditional hot pot meets modern convenience in the form of a conveyor belt, was a unique experience. Originating from Japan, the Shang Chi Taiwanese hot pot concept has captured the hearts of diners with its interactive dining style.
At Shang Chi, dining was redefined with their state-of-the-art conveyor hot pot concept. Picture this: seated around a long table, each diner had direct access to a small stove and a revolving conveyor belt laden with a rich assortment of ingredients.
Guests had the freedom to select their preferred ingredients and create personalized hot pot combinations without the need for traditional ordering or waiting for service staff.
Upon entering Shang Chi, I was welcomed by a spacious, well-decorated, and elegant dining space. The conveyor hot pot model allowed my friends and me to freely choose and prepare our favorite ingredients without relying on serving staff.
Shang Chi boasted three special types of hot pot broth: Mala, Collagen, and Thai Tomyum, each with its own distinct flavor made from fresh ingredients, creating a unique hot pot experience. The Mala hot pot featured a rich aroma of spicy chili and familiar Taiwanese herbs, tantalizing the taste buds wonderfully. The Collagen hotpot had a sweet and rich taste, while the Thai Tomyum hot pot offered mild sourness, gentle spiciness, and creamy richness, perfect for those who appreciate bold and varied flavors.
In addition to the three main hot pot broths, Shang Chi offered up to 20 different dipping sauces and ingredients, allowing us to enjoy a diverse and creative dining experience. I particularly appreciated the variety of fresh meats, seafood, and vegetables arranged on the conveyor belt, which made it easy to choose the foods I love.
Beyond the appealing ambiance and delicious food, the service at Shang Chi was attentive and professional. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic, always prompt to serve.
In conclusion, with its innovative concept, delightful ambiance, and reasonable pricing, Shang Chi - Taiwanese conveyor hot pot ensured satisfaction from ambiance to food. I especially enjoyed the desserts, which included 8 flavors of cool ice cream, a cabinet full of mousse cakes, mochi, yogurt, Yakult, and fresh fruit.
The unlimited buffet of milk tea allowed us to indulge as much as we wanted. Additionally, their variety of healthy detox drinks helped maintain beautiful skin and fitness. It was a perfect ending to a delicious meal at Shang Chi!
