En Venezuela tenemos una preparación similar, que se llama Cafunga, y es propia del estado Miranda, en la costa de mi país; pero se elabora con puré de cambur maduro, se le añade coco rallado y harina de trigo, y también se envuelven en hojas; generalmente se hornean, no se hacen al grill.
