Speaking of green ones these aren't far away from starting to yellow. The moment I see some yellow streaks I cut them off to ripen indoors away from squirrels, birds and (neighbors) other elements. That said I do give many away to keep the relations sweet.

Speaking of neighbors here is my latest one. And a good friend. This guy isn't afraid of me at all up to a point and is quite a great photo model. He just popped up one day and has been around for a week or so now.

Here are some papaya seedlings going strong. For whatever reason they are practically the only thing I can grow here so just go with the flow and grow them I reckon. And I love papaya.

A papaya seedling. I get some of them going in pots as I can move them around to catch as much sun as possible for quicker growth. They survive transplanting just fine and grow much quicker.

This is a young female. The big flowers turn to small fruits and just keep growing from there.

This is a male papaya tree. The flowers are much farther from the tree and the stems are long and hang down. Quite easy to tell the difference once they start to flower. The boys flower first. You need one in a group of females. Otherwise no need for more.

There's my friend again just cooling... What should I name him? Chucky?

Here's an update on my aloe vera plants in plastic cups project. They're doing quite well. Aloe vera also takes time to grown and best if you just leave them alone if the conditions are proper.

Hope you enjoyed the garden update. Papayas do take time but if you're in a full sun warm climate with great drainage situation you can get fruit much quicker. 6 months is quite normal in ideal situations. But sometimes you just have to accept things as they are and work with that.
