Several times I prepared Chocolate Cake, but when I was searching for some recipe for Plant Power Cooking Challenge | Week #10 | using cocoa I found this interesting recipe and immediately decided to make it.
Very few ingredients are required for this amazingly delicious Chocolate Mousse Cake, before starting just have a look at my Cake....
Ingredients Used
- Corn flour 1/2 cup
- Cocoa powder 1/4 cup + 1 tsp for sprinkle
- Soy milk 1 litre or 4 cups
- Sugar 1/2 cup or as per taste
- Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
- Dark chocolate/compound grated 1/4 cup
- Salt a pinch
Procedure
- In a bowl add cornflour, cocoa powder and salt, mix well.
- Now add 2 cups of soy milk and mix to make a uniform lump-free liquid. Strain it.
- In a heavy bottom pan start to heat this liquid and add the remaining milk and sugar. Stir continuously on low to medium flame.
- It will convert into a thick paste within 5 minutes of heating. keep string otherwise it may stick at the bottom.
- Add grated dark chocolate and let it melt.
- Switch off the flame and aff vanilla, let it cool down to room temperature.
- In a tray layer it with butter paper and pour this thick mixture into it.
- Keep in the fridge for 8 hours or overnight. I kept for overnight.
- Take it out from the tray and sprinkle cocoa powder on it.
- Cut into pieces and serve it.
