In the moments of expectation of the analog process, which generate anxiety, there is a whole intimacy, a rigor, a technique, which makes us owners of what we create.

The whole process is physical, tangible. Today is increasingly digital, ownership exists but it is not material.

From this perspective, the younger generations, who are the future (not us), fed up with the easy and the immediate, will naturally return to analog. These are cycles.

The photographic industry is proof of this. Brands like Leica, which has also gone digital with Huawei and Xiaomi, last year sold 5,000 film cameras. The famous brand's sales will increase tenfold from 2015 to 2023, proving what the company has called the "return of analog".

But it's not just Leica, Pentax recently launched a camera specifically for film. In photographic rolls and laboratory chemistry, there are new brands on the market and online sales have increased.

Following on from the latest post by the administrator of this community, I'd like to leave you with a few words of encouragement.

Não tenho dúvidas que esta comunidade será mais participada a médio e longo prazo. Haverá mais pessoas no futuro a fazerem fotografia analógica e a quererem partilhar.

Aliás, há fotografia analógica a ser publicada noutras comunidades. Fazem-no porque rende mais, são mais motivados pelo valor dos votos. Infelizmente. Talvez sensibilizar as outras comunidades a sugerirem “cross-post” sempre que publiquem fotografia analógica nas diversas comunidades existentes.
