Hive Music Festival week 94 - round 1 🎶 My Favorites Things cover Recorder 🎶

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well ☺️✨. Let me introduce myself, I'm Uri07 and this is my first performance at the Hive Music Festival, I'm delighted to be in this beautiful and talented community ☺️.

Hola a todos, espero se encuentren muy bien ☺️✨. Me presentó, soy Uri07 y está es mi primera presentación en el Hive Music Festival, encantada de estar en esta comunidad tan linda y de mucho talento ☺️.

The theme I chose for my presentation is an arrangement made for a trio of Alto Recorder and Tenor Recorder of the theme "My Favorites Things"☺️✨.

El tema que escogí para mí presentación es un arreglo hecho para trio de Flauta dulce contra alto y Flauta dulce tenor del tema "My Favorites Things"☺️✨.

This song was composed by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, and was published in 1959. This piece also belongs to the soundtrack of the film adaptation "The Sound of Music". In 1965, the song was sung by Julie Andrews in the film that adapted the musical to film. It is worth noting that the song is different in its adaptation to film.

Este tema fue compuesto por Richard Rodgers y Oscar Hammerstein II, siendo publicada en el año 1959 está pieza tambien es perteneciente a la banda sonora de la adaptación cinematográfica "The sound of Music" . En el año 1965 el tema fue cantado por Julie Andrews en la película que adaptó el musical al cine cabe destacar e el tema es diferente en la adopción al cine.

My Favorite Things is a standard in genres such as jazz, being covered by artists such as John Coltrane, Rod Stewart, Tony Bennett, The Supremes, Vanessa-Mae, Kelly Clarkson, Luther Vandross and by the pop genre Ariana Grande with the difference that she covered it with the name "7 Rings"

My Favorites Things es un estándar en los géneros como el jazz, siendo versionada por artistas tales como John Coltrane, Rod Stewart,Tony Bennett ,The Supremes, Vanessa-Mae, Kelly Clarkson, Luther Vandross y por el género de pop Ariana grande con la diferencia que la versionó con el nombre de "7 Rings".

As this song was mostly covered in the jazz genre, many performers of the same have put their unique touch on it by improvising with the harmonies, without changing the structure of the original song, thus resulting in an innumerable amount of different and unique versions.

Como este tema mayormente fue versionado en el género de jazz muchos intérpretes del mismo, le han colocado su toque único haciendo improvisaciones con las armonías, sin cambiar la estructura del tema original, obteniendo así como resultado una cantidad incontable de versiones diferentes y únicas .

My interpretation of this theme is based on an arrangement for contra alto recorders and tenor recorders, made by Professor Magda Gallardo, director and arranger of the OFA (Orquesta de Flautas Traversas de Aragua) however I recorded the theme with the soprano recorder doing the first voice and with the contra alto recorder doing the second and third voices with the basses, this is because in my city they do not sell tenor recorders.

Mi interpretación de este tema se basa en un arreglo para flautas dulces contra alto y Flauta dulce tenor, realizado por la profesora Magda Gallardo directora y arreglista de la OFA ( Orquesta de Flautas Traversas de Aragua) sin embargo grabé el tema con la flauta dulce soprano haciendo la primera voz y con la flauta dulce contra alto haciendo la segunda y tercera voz con los bajos, esto debido a que en mi cuidad no venden flauta dulces tenores.

I really like this piece in its jazz versions. It has a lot of harmonic potential for arrangements. It is definitely a classic and it works very well on all instruments, especially in woodwind or brass trios. It is a very good little gem, easy to read at first sight and very catchy. Although for me the recording process is somewhat stressful and tedious, I relaxed a lot with this piece and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Me gusta mucho está pieza en sus versiones de jazz tiene mucho potencial armónico para realizar arreglos, es un clásico definidamente y en todos los instrumentos queda muy bien, mas que todo en trios de vientos madera o metal, es una joyita muy buena, facil de leer a primera vista y muy pegadiza. Aunque para mí el procesó de grabación es algo estresante y tedioso, me relajé mucho con esta pieza y la disfrute bastante.
