What do you think about self-voting?

I have to upvote my own posts when my post's visibility is low because of not getting enough upvotes or I have extra voting power which I don't like to waste on bad posts of others. But I feel bad when I have to upvote my own post. It fills me with a feeling of guilt.
What is your view about it?
