Steel wool photographs have always been a blast to shoot for me. They provide a surreal look that can only be captured with the long exposure to encapsulate what your eyes see over the 10 seconds your subject swings the wool around in a circle. Taken late one week night when no-one else was out and about under a local bridge.

Damn that looks awesome. I’ve always wondered how they achieve that type of picture. I thought it was with glow sticks or something. That it’s Steel wool blows my mind lol
Thanks! Yeah its surprisingly simple. Just set a 8-10sec shutter, light it, and spin it around!
Nice, I'm assuming with such a long exposure you used a tripod or monopod? I haven't played around with night exposures in a long time but it was a lot of fun doing it with cars, seeing the lights blurring through the image!
Yep! About a 10sec exposure.
I love the effects with the swinging wool, it looks so cool :)
Likewise! Fun times shooting it too!
