Hello, everyone! I'm thrilled to be joining this community. As a newcomer, I'm excited to share this latest blog post with you all. It's filled with original content and photographs that I've taken with pride. This marks my debut in sharing my work here, and I'm eager for your support and feedback. I hope you'll take a moment to explore and enjoy it as much as I do.
These captivating photos were taken on October 26, 2021, using my Huawei Honor 10 Lite cellphone at the Boardwalk in Naga City, Cebu. My cousin and I embarked on a dawn jog from my home in Tuyan to Naga Plaza to witness the sunrise on the Boardwalk. The serenity of the early morning hour amplified my anticipation as we eagerly awaited the first light of dawn. Like countless others, we find solace in the breathtaking sunrise, which enhances our morning jog and offers us a moment of tranquility as we marvel at the beauty before us.
The soft hues of the sunrise cast a magical glow upon the wooden Boardwalk, creating an enchanting scene that's impossible to resist. As the sun slowly ascends above the horizon, it paints the sky with vibrant colors, turning the tranquil landscape into a masterpiece of nature's creation. Each step we take along the Boardwalk is filled with awe and wonder, as we soak in the beauty of the moment. This experience reminds me of the simple joys in life and fills me with a sense of gratitude for the wonders of the natural world.

This is my cousin Kent; he's the one I went jogging with. He's one of my cousins whom I've been close to since childhood. Although this picture isn't filtered to look like anime-inspired because it didn't suit the style, it still turned out well. He likes it a lot because his face isn't visible in the photo, only the silhouette.
I hope I can capture more pictures like this again because my back camera is broken, and I miss capturing people or scenery because they make me feel appreciated for my work. It's rewarding to receive compliments on my photographs of them.
When it comes to editing these photos, I rely on the versatile tools provided by Lightroom and PicsArt applications. Through manual enhancements, I strive to unlock the full potential of each image, ensuring they reflect the ambiance and aesthetic reminiscent of anime scenery.
I used to indulge in binge-watching anime movies and series during high school. However, as time has passed, my anime-viewing habits have become more occasional, dictated by my mood and schedule. Nevertheless, my love for the shoujo genre, synonymous with romance in English, remains steadfast.
The anime movie that deeply inspires me to edit photos in a similar style is titled "Kimi no Na wa" in Japanese, or "Your Name" in English. Ever since I first encountered this captivating film, I have been enchanted by its storyline and mesmerizing visuals. In fact, I am so enamored with it that I have even memorized the OST (original soundtrack) and song playlist, allowing me to immerse myself fully in its world of romance and fantasy.
I highly recommend watching "Kimi no Na wa," especially during this Holy Week. The movie holds a special significance for me, as I first discovered it by chance while watching television on Good Friday during my elementary school days. Its profound impact on me has stayed with me ever since, making it a cherished part of my life and a constant source of inspiration for my creative endeavors.
This is how the Boardwalk in Naga City, Cebu used to look, constructed with wooden boards rather than concrete like the new Boardwalk today, which was rebuilt after being damaged by Super Typhoon Rai (locally known as Odette) that made landfall on December 16, 2021. Despite the changes, I still adore the Boardwalk for its breathtaking view, making it a special place to hang out with my loved ones and create cherished memories.
And as you can see from the picture, there was no one present as a photobomber or included in the photo because, for me, jogging at dawn feels like wandering around in private. The peaceful solitude of the early morning hours creates a sense of seclusion, allowing for an uninterrupted and serene experience. This tranquility allows me and my cousin to enjoy peaceful reflection and exercise without any disturbances.
When I'm in this place, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of nature, I can temporarily set aside my personal problems. The serene atmosphere offers a respite from life's challenges, allowing me to immerse myself in the moment and find solace in the peaceful surroundings. Taking pictures of these beautiful views becomes more than just a hobby; it becomes a therapeutic outlet, offering me inner peace that resonates with the ambiance.
Simply by revisiting these photos, I can still feel the relief and comfort that these calming views provided me at that time. Each image serves as a reminder of the tranquility I experienced, allowing me to momentarily escape from the stresses of daily life and find solace in the beauty of the natural world.

We're actually here right now! 😅 We visited 7 churches, Simala being our last. We had to stopover sa baywalk to rest kay kapoy byahe pauli lol
Sounds like a busy yet fulfilling day! How was the stopover at Naga Baywalk? It must be a nice spot to unwind after all that traveling.
As always, didn't disappoint! I've been strolling Naga for as long as I can remember. When the Boardwalk didn't exist yet and the city hall used to be the small municipal hall near the fountain.
Naga has flourished beautifully with time.
We spread our makeshift mat on the grass and watched the stars. Kapoy pero worth it!
The fourth picture truly mesmerized me.😍 I once set foot on the beautiful and lively boardwalk of Naga. Brings me back the memories.. 🥹thanks for sharing…
