I've never been swimming in an ice hole. I usually wash my face with consecrated water at Epiphany, but this time there was no need. Father, when he was watering the whole crowd with holy water, he saved one cup for me - I washed well enough!
This is the second time I've filmed a Ephiphany at the Sokolovsky spring near the village of Spasskoye in the Vologda region.
This time, a light source was installed, although it still wasn't enough.
Due to the warm weather and, consequently, the fragile structure of the ice, five people in a row were allowed to swim in the hole.
There is a lake here, the water is stagnant, the ice is about thirty centimeters thick.
In general, only one in row was allowed on the Vologda River, since the ice is thinner there.
Those who like to swim said that in such weather, the bathing process feels colder than in the cold.
For some reason, I still haven't filmed the Epiphany in the daytime...
But in such a place it is hardly possible to make any unique shot at all.
Overall, this is enough to illustrate the agenda.
Epiphany frosts came a little later, a couple of days after the holiday.
Next time, I would like to capture Epiphany bathing somewhere in a new and more interesting place.
I was afraid to raise the ISO to higher values, but I had to!
And in such dark places it is necessary to use more powerful optics.
I wanted to take the 50 mm, but even then I didn't dare...
But it doesn't take up any space from the word at all and doesn't create any weight. Well, it wouldn't have worked out – 24-105 hooked up and continued to shoot! It turned out to be an uncertain shooting.
