Bear watching from those safe hides sounds like a smart way to get the thrill without messing with the wild. A calm lake walk after, that hits like a reset, and and I can almost hear the quiet. I dont think I'd be brave if a big one showed up, I'd probably wave and pretend it's friendly, then slowly back up :) One day I want to be their and see that green for myself.
Nice open area with amazing overhead views. I'd be more comfortable observing bears in the wild from safe hides, unless they're a bit far away from where I'm standing.
