CTPTalk V PeakD

This will be my first my first post; and hopefully not my last. I have recently discovered the HIVE blockchain and I feel like a complete n00b again. Is that even still a term? I could very well be showing my age here.

I've always been a fan of crypto and at first I felt like I was all over it, but the further the technology advances, the further behind I seem to fall.

I signed up to PeakD first and I love the layout, but for the life of me I can't quite figure out the percentages and all that jazz. If someone could help me I would be very grateful :)

In the mean time I guess I will begin blogging here on what I find to be a simpler platform.

I'd be curious to know which you prefer CTPTalk or PeakD? It might be a silly question when using CTPTalk itself ... But do you use one or both?

That's it for now.

Talk soon - Vic.

Hello, @victoriacryer

This is @fionasfavourites from the @ocd (Original Content Decentralized) curation team. We noticed you shared your first post here on Hive - congratulations and welcome! It would also be awesome if you could do an introduction post, so our community can get to know you better. For an example of what an intro post is like, you can check out this one by my friend & curation team member - Keeping Up With the Buzz – My Introduction to the Hive Community.

Speaking of community, we have many different ones here on the blockchain, devoted to all kinds of interests. Here's a link so you can check them all out – Hive Communities.

Also since you're new, you may run into an RC (Resource Credits) error when trying to comment/post because you don't yet have enough Hive in your account yet. For assistance with a temporary delegation to get you started, be sure to check out the Gift Giver site.

Also, as this the hive can be quite confusing, the newly launched Newbies Guide is a growing repository of useful – easy to understand – posts about how the Hive ecosystem works.

For now, @lovesniper will follow your account and we are looking forward to seeing your intro post. Also, you are welcome to tag me (@fionasfavourites) and please mention @lovesniper in your intro post in order for us to be notified, so we can consider your post for OCD curation. Feel free to hop into the OCD Discord server if you have any questions!

Welcome to CTP Talk, @victoriacryer - good to see you here.

To answer your question, although I can see why lots of people prefer to blog on PeakD, I publish on various platforms: directly on Hive.blog for general posts, on CTPTalk for CTP-community related stuff (including Splinterlands posts).

I post my crypto-accumulation reports directly on leofinance.io/ (and add a CTP tag so it shows up on CTPTalk).

Communities are also good places to post on specific topics. For example, if I blog about chess I do so in the chess community.

So there's a lot of choice!

All the best,

David Hurley

@victoriacryer! You Are Alive so I just staked 0.1 $ALIVE to your account on behalf of @hirohurl. (1/10)

The tip has been paid for by the We Are Alive Tribe through the earnings on @alive.chat, feel free to swing by our daily chat any time you want.

Hey Victoria! Great first post!! I tend to use ctptalk and I'm not even sure why. But I will say everything you do goes there, as well as the Hive Blog; so it's all good! :)

i will say peakd, but you can also use ctptalk if you don't want to add a bunch of effects and pictures, also if the post is a "one go thing" meaning it's short so you don't want to come back and working it again as ctptalk don't save to darts.
CTP!

Welcome to Hive @victoriacryer. I have seen you in the telegram group. I have only been on Hive since the end of January '22 so I am still learning also. I usually post on PeakD but that is the platform I started on, for no particular reason. The way I understand it, it really doesn't matter which platform you post on but the TAGS will send it to the corresponding platform for you.
You would also do well to send a mail on ListNerds and you will get many people reading your posts.
