As you already know, I have started my CTP Curation trail 2 days ago, and the results are already awesome... I think that in the first 24 hours, the trail got around 20 followers, which is way more than I have expected... The trail is already upvoting great posts in the CTP Swarm, but I'm still tuning some things to be even more effective and beneficial for everyone...
But, it's not everything "easy as a pie"... I have noticed that there are still many people out there that don't understand curation trails, how they work, and what are the pros and cons of them... That "forced" me to create a mini-series about curation trails in general, not just the CTP Curation Trail... So here we are...
As I have planned to do the pros and cons of them, let's start with the negative side of curation trails (I will use CT shortening in the post)... The most important "cons" of CT is that they are "set and forget"... From one side, that is good, as you are earning passive income just by following the trail, but on the other side, you are losing that "human touch" with your audience, and manually upvoting others...
Luckily, the solution for that is easy, you can dedicate just a part of your Voting Power to the CT and the rest of it use for manual upvoting... When you plan to be more time away from your computer, you can set up your CT to 100% and enjoy maximum returns on your staked tokens...
Automatization is the only "downside" of the CT (from my opinion), and the positive sides are way more valuable and important... In this video, I have made the comparison between miners (Hive-engine miners that "create" tokens passively) and the CT that is doing more-less the same thing, but instead of having staked miner tokens, you have to have staked CTP tokens (in our case)... The number of curation rewards that you will receive is proportional to the amount of your staked tokens...
Find more information in the video...
If you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to use the comment section... I'm upvoting and answering ALL comments...
How can you follow the CTP Curation Trail?
Logging into the https://hive.vote/ website, clicking on the CURATION TRAIL menu on the left sidebar, and searching for a trail named "ph1102.ctptrail" (without @) (or click here https://hive.vote/dash.php?trail=ph1102.ctptrail), and follow it...
Thank you for your valuable time,
~ph~

Hi Zoltan
I have been in a closet of offline busy and miised that you had created a Curation Trail
As soon as I found out I Joined
You are one of the people that I believe I can put my voting power trust into
Thanks for creating the trail and being a superstar :)
Thank you so much for your kind words, and for joining the trail... I have noticed that there is no Russell's chatter lately...
I hope that everything is ok?
hi zoltan,
I have joined the curation trail, but as a different user only dedicated to CTP. The username is @myupvote2u
thanks for creating the trail.
Thank you for your trust and confidence! To get maximum rewards, make sure that you have staked CTP in that account...
Cheers!
Yes, i have currently 500 CTP tokens staked, i will keep adding from my main account, every few days.
I would consider the ideal growth strategy to start by buying some miners. Like that your account can start to grow. Then we stack the tokens and we begin to upvote content. Thanks to your curation trail this can be done almost in a fully automated way, especially when we have accounts that are specialised on the ctp token. The only thing I need to do is to stake the tokens regularly. Both things play together quite well.
Oh, yes... Both things play perfectly... Thanks for supporting CTP creators!
Interesting angle you found Zoltan! I wouldn't have thought to compare curation trails and miners.
WOW! I'm so honored for discovering something before you :) Usually, you get out with some crazy good ideas and tricks :)
Thanks for taking time for consuming my content :)
Haha, now you're being modest! You're creating great content more times than I show up. Unfortunately I don't drop by as often as I would like to.
I really appreciate this video because so many don't really understand the difference between miners & curation trails. Fortunately, I learned about them along the way, but for anyone new, it would be quite confusing. Your "tutorial" really helps break it down simply.
Your curation trail is growing each day & I am super excited for you. It is such a great thing to have (when done correctly, as you are of course) & is a win-win for all involved. :)
Keep up your amazing work, Zoltan, & you know I am already onboard! ;) 💛💚
That was the plan from the beginning... As the reward ratio on CTPTalk is 60:40, I think that creators will get the most from it... But, also, curation trail followers will activate their staked CTP tokens to work for them!
Thanks for your support, Jenn! Appreciate it!
Great video and post Zoltan, and yeah a curation trail vs miner comparison might be a good thing, btw just joined the trail directly with 50% VP, and adjusted some other parts of my autovoting to accomodate that, will see how this goes or if there need to be further adjustment ahead.
Thank you, Erik! For all your support and your confidence in my work on the CTP Curation Trail!
I will do my best to pick good posts in the CTP Swarm to upvote!
I know you will. 👍🙏
Also added the post to the index in Hive Affiliates.
