National Pet Day is upon us!

If you're like most pet parents, your four-legged friend is more than just a pet - they're a member of the family. And what better way to show your pet how much you love them than by celebrating National Pet Day?

National Pet Day was founded in 2006 by animal welfare advocate Colleen Paige as a day to celebrate the joy that pets can bring to our lives. Every year on April 11, pet parents across the country take the time to pamper their furry friends and show them a little extra love.

This is the day to celebrate our furry, scaly, and feathered friends who bring us so much joy. Whether you have a dog, cat, bird, or snake, make sure to give them some extra love today. Let them sleep in your bed, take them for a longer walk, or give them their favorite treat. They deserve it!

For real, there's no denying that pets are some of the best friends we'll ever have. They provide us with unconditional love, support, and companionship through thick and thin. They never judge us, no matter what we do or say, and they're always there for us when we need them. Pets are true friends indeed!

This brings us to today's challenge!

Pets are great! They provide us with love, companionship, and so much more. On National Pet Day, let's take a moment to appreciate all the furry (and not so furry) friends in our lives. From cats and dogs to rabbits and reptiles, each and every one of our pets brings something special to our lives. So on April 11 (*and for the rest of this week), let's show our pets a little extra love and appreciation. They deserve it!

To celebrate pets, post a photo or video of you and your pet. If you do not have a pet, that is okay. Just take a photo or video with a lovely animal friend and post that.
