Building an Emergency Bridge to Survive amidst a Logistics Crisis

in CCHyesterday

Hello Hivers....

It's been a while since I posted in this community, but in this post, I'll share some photos of the emergency suspension bridge being built in Rerebe Village, leading to Tripe Jaya District, Gayo Lues Regency, after flash floods hit the area. The previous Bailey bridge collapsed due to the flooding, leaving the Tripe Jaya community isolated, with road access cut off in several areas.

The construction of this emergency suspension bridge in Rerebe Village will provide temporary access for community mobility, including for education, healthcare, and the distribution of basic necessities. The emergency suspension bridge was built through a collaborative effort involving the community, police, and military.

The bridge appears very simple and risky, yet it remains the only access in and out of the village after the main bridge collapsed due to flooding. The river below the bridge still flows quite fast, demonstrating how crucial this makeshift bridge is to the safety and survival of the community.

This concludes my post for this time. I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you very much for reading. Thank you.
