Shimla, a city of dreams from my camera : Tilt Shift Photos

Shimla is a major cultural, touristic and financial center in the state of Himachal Pradesh in India. ( That line sounds like a textbook line). Sorry folks!

The hills of Shimla lined with deodar trees are nothing short of a dream in itself. For once when you ascend from the plains to this beautiful place you feel like you have entered heaven itself. Your lungs are filled with air, so fresh, streams are sparkling clean, Beautiful flowers in meadows, greets you while you are still on the way to Shimla.

When the Train ( The famous toy train which still runs on steam) from Kalaka starts, you are in for a treat. Sadly My camera was discharged so could not click the natural beauty of the way up to Shimla.

But Shimla is not just its throbbing markets, staircases, Hugh public lifts, Its horses, golf courses, temples, and tourists.
Beyond the imagination of the Indian Film Industry, there is Shimla, which is full of surprises. It’s abandoned houses that are particular to old ways of building the house of the pre-independence era. Or old bungalows of the British era.

The natural charm of Shimla is such that every year on Christmas, when the bell of church rings on Mall Road, there are people of every faith, revering the bells, trying to live the time when Shimla was the summer capital of British India.
Its aristocracy is second to none. Housing the only Getty Theatre in Asia, it has been it is still now a major cultural center in the Himalayas, where arts is still given importance.

The tea stalls in the summer are filled with tourists, some times couples, impervious to the gaze of people, so much into love with each other, some other times married couples, who out of the misery of marriage are sitting there like some unknown power has made them sit there against their will.
Sometimes you see big families, where more than one narrative is at play. It seems like life has come full circle and you can see almost everything you can observe anywhere else in the world, but with an amazing view in the background. Such is the magnificence of this beautiful city.
