In this temporary life, we have no end to our desires. We work hard and sacrifice to fulfill our dreams and hobbies. Sometimes after so much hard work, we reach our desired success, and there are times when we cannot reach our destination even after working hard. However, in this temporary life, I think that without regrets, we should feel happy in all the affairs of life and pass the moments. Only then can we enjoy the real happiness or peace of life. Happiness does not come from having mountains of wealth and money in life, happiness comes from peace of mind. And not everyone finds this thing.

Many of you know that after hard work and patience, I got a chance at my dream university Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET). I had shared some parts of the story of getting my chance with you earlier. Today I have come again to share some more feelings. After a lot of waiting and anticipation, I officially became a DUETian on the 7th of last month. After waiting, our university life started yesterday (26-10-2025). Classes started yesterday. There is a different feeling in taking classes in the university on the first day of life. We are the first batch in the history of Duet who started classes with 1/1 and started the first semester of the first year. Before that, classes used to start with the second semester of the first year.

This time, 1/1 approval was given in a general meeting. As a result, there is a lot of happy news for us. The first class of our group was tomorrow at 8:30 am. 2 days ago, the department gave us the routine. You can learn a lot when you go to different stages of life, which I understood in the first class of the university. If you want to take yourself to a higher level, you must take higher education. Our classes are until 12:40 pm. Then there is a lunch break. After class, I go to my mess. After taking a bath, offering prayers, having lunch, and coming back to the campus at 2 pm. From 2 pm to 4 pm, the university authorities organized a program to welcome the new students and inform them about the orientation and all the rules and regulations.

There are a total of 10 departments in our university. Orientation of all the departments will be held simultaneously. It starts at 2 pm. First, the formalities of the program started with recitation from the Holy Quran. Then, one by one, the heads of different departments gave speeches and gave various guidance through projectors. They explained all the rules and regulations of the university. Then, one by one, the heads of different departments and deans gave speeches. In the meantime, the students were welcomed with flowers. Then, their feelings were heard from the students. Students of several departments shared their feelings. Then, the program ended with the closing speech of our university's head, Vice Chancellor Sir.

I will remember this day for the rest of my life. If Allah Ta'ala keeps me alive, I am going to spend the next four years here. I hope I can fulfill my dream and then leave. I left the auditorium and took some pictures with some friends. Then I went to the room. This is how my first day of university passed. I shared it with you, even if in a short form.
