How are the out-of-town hearings going? My day as a lawyer. -Get out of your routine!

Our stop today is Yalova Court of justice. I love coming here. As a matter of fact, it is close to Istanbul in terms of location. Traveling by ferry is a different pleasure. Also, did we get a seat by the window, okay 👍🏼

Bugün durağımız Yalova Adliyesi. Buraya gelmeyi seviyorum. Nitekim konum itibariyle İstanbul’a yakın olmasının yanısıra yolculuğumu feribotla gerçekleştiriyor olmak ayrı bir keyif veriyor bana. Bir de cam kenarı bir koltuk aldık mı tamamdır 👍🏼

My hearing is at 9:50 today. That's why we started our journey with the 7:45 ferry. I can watch the sea, listen to music, and write the petitions I need to finish by watching the sea. Of course, it always accompanies me with my coffee from Cafe Nero. Today, unlike other days, the weather was rainy and we could not watch the sunrise. But one day when the weather is nice, I will meet you with my post :)

Bugün duruşmam 9:50’de. O yüzden 7:45 feribotuyla yolculuğumuz başladı. Hem denizi seyredebiliyor, hem müzik dinleyebiliyor, hem de bitirmem gereken dilekçeleri denizi izleyerek yazabiliyorum. Tabii ki Cafe Nero’dan aldığım kahvemde bana her zaman eşlik ediyor. Bugün diğer günlerden farklı olarak hava yağmurlu ve güneşin doğuşunu izleyemedik. Ama bir gün hava güzel olduğunda sizi o postumla da buluşturacağım :)

In this way, after watching the sea for a while and completing our work, we slowly fall asleep and start looking for triple sofas where we can nap ourselves ahah 😂

And yes we found it!

Bu şekilde bir süre denizi izleyip işlerimizi tamamladıktan sonra yavaş yavaş mayışmaya alıyoruz kendimizi ve kendimize şekerleme yapabileceğimiz üçlü koltuklar bakmaya başlıyoruz ahah 😂

Ve evet bulduk!

Now, after taking a nap for a while, we finish our ferry trip and pass to our court of justice.

Şimdi bir süre şekerlememizi yaptıktan sonra feribot yolculuğumuzu bitiriyor ve adliyemize geçiş yapıyoruz.

Yalova Court of Justice house is a small and friendly courthouse. Those who have fallen into the courthouses in Istanbul know how complicated and challenging it can be. However, the Yalova Courthouse is not like this. With its small size, you can handle your work much faster, and you can establish much more sincere dialogues with people. That's my favorite specialty of Yalova Court of justice.

Yalova Adliyesi küçük ve samimi bir adliye. İstanbul’daki adliyelere yolu düşmüşler ne kadar karışık ve uğraştırıcı olduğunu bilirler. Ancak Yalova Adliyesi böyle değil. Küçük olmasıyla beraber işlerinizi çok daha hızlı şekilde halledebilir, insanlarla çok daha samimi diyologlar kurabilirsiniz. En sevdiğim yanı da bu.

You can await your main hearing in the tiny candy law society room. Here you can get your ermine, leave your coat on the hanger and get rid of your burdens. At the same time, the bar association's computers are also available. The computers here will definitely come in handy if you need to make any changes to your petition.

Duruşmanızı minik şeker baro odasında bekleyebilirsiniz. Buradan cübbenizi temin edebilir, montunuzu askılığa bırakabilir yüklerinizden kurtulabilirsiniz. Aynı zamanda baronun bilgisayarları da mevcut. Dilekçenizde herhangi bir değişiklik yapmanız gerekirse veya dosyanın güncel durumuna bakamadıysanız buradaki bilgisayarlar kesinlikle işinizi görür.

Yes, our trial is over; Our report request was accepted 👍🏼 Normally, I would go straight from the courthouse to the ferry to eat, but today we went out of the routine:

Evet, duruşmamız bitti; ek rapor talebimiz kabul edildi 👍🏼 Normalde direk adliyeden çıkar feribotun oraya yemek yemeye giderdim ancak bugün rutinin dışına çıktık:

Just as I was about to leave the courthouse, I encountered a very sweet old woman who was trying to get off the minibus. I helped him get down first. Then I accompanied him to the courthouse. He was hit by a vehicle on the way and he was treated for months. The person who hit him didn't even take him to the hospital. When we got inside, I took him to the courtroom, talked to the bailiff, explained what he had to say, and asked the bailiff to help. The bailiff was as well-intentioned as the old woman and said he would help her. It was the first time he had come to the courthouse, he had no one, and he had barely come this far alone. The sweet old aunt prayed a lot, held my hand, even warmed my hands because I was cold.

Tam adliyeden çıkacağım esnada dolmuştan inmeye çalışan çok şeker yaşlı bir teyze ile karşılaştım. Önce inmesi için yardım ettim sonrasında adliyeye kadar koluna girerek kendisine eşlik ettim. Yolda kendisine araç ile çarpıldığını, aylarca tedavi gördüğünü, çarpan kişinin hastaneye dahi götürmediğini anlattı bana. İçeri girdiğimizde onu duruşma salonuna kadar götürdüm, mübaşir ile konuştum, ne söylemesi gerektiğini anlattım, mübaşire de yardımcı olması için ricada bulundum. Mübaşir de teyzem kadar iyi niyetliydi ve kendisine yardımcı olacağını söyledi. İlk kez adliyeye gelmiş, kimsesi yokmuş, tek başına zar zor buralara kadar gelmiş. Şeker teyzem bir sürü dualar etti, elimi tuttu, hatta üşüdüğüm için ellerimi dahi ısıttı.

What I experienced at that moment was a priceless happiness. I cannot explain the peace and beauty it gives to people. But I can share a photo of it with you; May God always be with the old woman, may her little eyes be filled with happiness...

O an yaşadığım şey paha biçilemez bir mutluluktu. İnsanın içine verdiği o huzuru ve güzelliği anlatamam belki ama minik bir anın fotoğrafını sizlerle paylaşabilirim; Allah teyzeminizin hep yanında olsun, minik gözleri mutlulukla kaplansın...

Every event in life leads to another event. It often proceeds in a chain; There is no such thing as coincidence. In this way, the old woman was instrumental in meeting my university friend, whom I had not seen for years. If I had walked out of the courthouse and got into that taxi, if I hadn't helped the old woman, maybe I would never have met. We said Yalova is a small place. But I never thought I could see a friend from Istanbul. The sugar old lady did it. My friend who moved to Yalova and started a new life is here. She even said she could attend the hearings and I didn't even have to come. From where to where? :) What beauties a small routine change can cause in our lives.. I would like to share a picture of that beauty with you.

Zira hayatta yaşanan her olay başka bir olaya vesiledir. Zincirleme ilerler çoğu zaman;tesadüf diye bir şey yoktur. Şeker teyzem de yıllardır görmediğim üniversite arkadaşımla karşılaşmama vesile oldu böylelikle. Adliyeden çıkıp o taksiye binseydim, teyzeye yardım etmeseydim hiç karşılaşamayacaktım belki de.. Böylelikle ikinci kez yüzüm güldü. Yalova küçük yer demiştik. Ama İstanbul’dan bir arkadaşımla karşılaşabileceğim aklıma gelmezdi. İşte şeker teyzem asıl buna vesile oldu. Yalova’ya taşınmış yeni bir hayat kurmuş arkadaşım burada. Hatta duruşmalara katılabileceğini, gelmeme bile gerek olmadığını söyledi. Nerden nereye? Küçük bir rutin değişikliği hayatımızda ne gibi güzelliklere yol açıyor işte.. O güzellikten de bir kare sizinle paylaşmak isterim.

And this is how we completed a day at the cute little Yalova Courthouse. I guess I couldn't have seen so clearly that a little kindness can bring other good things in a place where I come for work, and that going out of routine will open different paths in life. So a good advice to all of us; change your routine, go to work in a different way today, look around, see people, touch their lives, even if it is small; Surely someone will touch your life...

Ve böylelikle minik şirin Yalova Adliyesindeki bir günü bu şekilde tamamlamış olduk. İş için geldiğim bir yerde minik bir iyiliğin beni başka güzelliklere götürebileceğini, rutinin dışına çıkmanın hayatta farklı yollar açacağını bu kadar net göremezdim herhalde. O halde hepimize güzel bir tavsiye; rutininizi değiştirin, işe hep aynı gittiğiniz yoldan gitmeyin, etrafınıza bakın, insanları görün, küçük de olsa yaşamlarına dokunun; elbet birileri de sizin hayatınıza dokunacaktır...

Now I have left the courthouse and came back to my ferry to return to Istanbul.

Şimdi adliyeden çıktım ve yeniden İstanbul’uma geri dönmek için feribotuma geldim.

Now it's time to find a three seater and take a nap after watching the sea :)
