Historian BDS Negi tells that many buildings of Almora are of ancient times. Some of the buildings belong to the Chand rule, which even today look the same. Stone, wood and tin have been used in these buildings. The buildings which contain tin were put up during the British rule and these buildings were made by local artisans only.
