In a world that constantly tells us we need to do more,, it becomes easy and normal to live in a thinking mode that tells us that we have to do all it takes on our own. Man believes he requires to be independent so as to be productive in this world and become successful. However, the following fact cannot be argued, true sufficiency and contentment are found in God alone.
The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 12:9,said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you for My power is perfected in weakness’. So I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses in order that Christ’s power may dwell on me.
This verse tells me that when I am at the lowest of my strength, God’s strength is most profound within me. For some reason, we find that when we are in our Prone moments we are able to fully rely on the grace of God and feel His sufficiency.
When we think we have the strength and ability to face life and situations on our own, we are wrong. sometimes and make errors. But when in recognitions we commit our lives to God’s power and strength, there can be sufficiency in all regions of human living. In all areas of our lives including relationship with our friends, our pockets, our health, and our jobs, God is able to provide as far as we are concerned.
This is because depending our total sufficiency in God also makes us experience true peace and contentment in life. Whenever we rely on His help and grace we are confident that He is with us, He will not part from us. In this verse we don’t have to bear the burdens of the world anymore and carry them ourselves but instead we can turn to God and let Him bear all our burdens and take us through every tribulation that comes with it.
In a world where we live in that we need to be independent, and take care of ourselves let us contain our sufficiency in Him. We need to rely on Him for His strength and sustenance because He will never leave our side regardless of the odds placed before us. For those who seek to find true satisfaction in life, this scripture teaches that when we stay upon the Lord and look to Him to be everything that we need, He will indeed be all that we need him to be.
