After traveling for about 4 hours from Lhokseumawe City, finally my group and I arrived at Takengon, the capital of Central Aceh Regency. The city is located on a plateau about 1200 meters above sea level.
Everyday, the city that produces the best coffee in Indonesia is usually cool. When we arrived, the sun was directly overhead. The air is hot enough, the mountain winds that blow quite fast, slightly reduce the heat.
Our goal in coming to Takengon is to conduct an audit at a branch office. After that, we had a little time to go around Takengon.
Laut Tawar Lake is an icon of Takengon City. This lake covers an area of 5,472 hectares with a length of up to 17 km. Because of its breadth, local people call it the sea or lut. Because the water is not salty, it is added with the word "bargain", so that the complete name is Lake Laut Tawar or in the local language it is called Lake Lut Tawar.
This lake view is very beautiful taken from any angle. There are parts that are similar to the view of Lake Toba in North Sumatra. There are other parts that are typical of the view of Lake Laut Tawar. Alhamdulillah, I was able to tour this lake in its entirety.
From a high angle, or straight down to the lake. My first explorations started at the western corner of the lake. At that time, we had just arrived at Takengon and were immediately invited to have lunch.
See You Next Time.
