At night it is easier to find any type of insect in my yard since they are attracted by the light of the spotlight; perhaps in the course of the day this beetle has wandered all over the yard but it was not until the night that I could notice its presence; which did not call my attention so much since I have seen many like this one, but when I got to detail it I could notice that it had different pincers that I had not seen before in any other beetle.
If you look closely you can see that they look like the pincers of a scorpion but additionally these two pincers close one with the other; I can also tell you that this beetle is much more agile and faster than the others that I have managed to publish in this blog so we were very careful when handling it; at the time of grabbing it made a much louder noise than commonly do the others also we could notice that it also has greater strength.
In order to take these pictures we had to catch him and lock him in a container until the next day and as he was very upset I put some pumpkin remains in the container in the hope that he would like it and could eat a little and so he calmed down while nibbling; in the end I could not tell you if he ate or was just venting his anger with the food.
The next day when I released it was when I was able to capture these images as it was calmer; as much as I was looking to see if I could get any information about this beetle I could not find anything that resembles it. Macrofotografías “Escarabajo Aterrador con Doble Pinza”.
Hola Hivers.
En las noches es más fácil encontrar cualquier tipo de insecto en mi patio ya que son atraídos por la luz del foco; quizás en el transcurso del día este escarabajo se ha paseado por todo el patio pero no fue hasta la noche que pude notar su presencia; el cual no llamo tanto mi atención ya que he visto muchos como este, pero cuando me puse a detallarlo pude notar que tenía unas pinzas diferentes que yo no había visto antes en ningún otro escarabajo.
Si observan detenidamente pueden ver que parecen las pinzas de un escorpión pero adicionalmente estas dos pinzas se cierran una con la otra; también les puedo decir que este escarabajo es mucho más ágil y rápido que los otros que he logrado publicar en este blog por lo que tuvimos mucho cuidado al manipularlo; al momento de agarrarlo hacia un ruido mucho más fuerte al que comúnmente hacen los otros además pudimos notar que también posee mayor fuerza.
Para poder lograr estas fotografías tuvimos que agarrarlo y encerrarlo en un recipiente hasta el día siguiente y como estaba muy alterado le coloque unos restos de calabaza en el recipiente con la esperanza de que le gustara y pudiera comer un poco y así fue que se tranquilizó mientras mordisqueaba; a la final no sabría decirles si comió o simplemente estaba descargando su ira con la comida.
Al día siguiente al liberarlo fue cuando pude capturar estas imágenes ya que estaba más calmado; por más que estuve buscando para ver si conseguía alguna información sobre este escarabajo no pude encontrar nada que se le parezca. Bueno amigos ha sido un gusto compartir esta fotografías con ustedes les deseo que tengan una linda mañana, tarde o noche según sea su ubicación.
