Last weekend and early this week, it rained almost 24 hours a day, causing people to worry about flooding. Currently, in many areas of Phuket, especially in the mountains, forests, and trees have been cleared to build resorts, hotels, and pool villas for sale to wealthy foreign customers. This causes problems when there is continuous rain for a long time, resulting in landslides and flash floods. And now, Thailand is experiencing major flooding in some provinces in the North and some provinces in the Northeast that are adjacent to the Mekong River, causing widespread damage.

This morning at around 6:15 a.m., I had to take my son to school. Normally, if it doesn’t rain, I would ride a motorcycle to take my son to school because it’s not far from home. But this morning, it rained heavily, so I had to drive my car to take my son to school.

The only thing I like about the rainy season is the rain that helps the trees and flowers I grow grow beautifully. Rainwater is water that has nutrients suitable for plant growth because it contains nitrogen which is important for plants. It can be observed that trees that are soaked in rainwater grow quickly and have strong trunks, branches, and leaves.

I am a flower lover when I bought this house, I planted and arranged the flower garden by myself. In the beginning, when I bought flowers from a plant shop, my garden was full of many kinds of flowers competing to bloom and show off their beauty. But after a while, the flowers I planted began to deteriorate and die. No matter how well I took care of them, whether it was fertilizing or tilling the soil, I could not make those flowers return to being as beautiful as when I bought them from the plant shop. So I started to change from planting flowers to ornamental plants and chose easy-to-care-for types that grow well in all weather conditions.

Now the lotus that I bought to plant at first seemed to be dying, so I bought more clay and fertilizer to strengthen the lotus roots. Now, my lotus is beautiful again as before and the lotus is blooming for us to see soon. I am very happy that I can make the lotus that was about to die beautiful again with big leaves and starting to bloom. The happiness of a flower grower is to see the flowers that he planted grow and bloom for us to see.

Currently, there are only a few types of flowers left in my garden, which are lotus and Zephyranthes sp., which are flowers that grow well and do not require much care. As for ornamental plants, right now, there are Elephant Ear, which are also easy to grow.

At around 4 pm, I drove to pick up my son from school. It was still raining, but when I arrived at my son's school, luckily the rain had stopped, which was the time when students were going home. If it had rained, it would have been difficult to travel home.
