Friends, I share with you some photos from my trip through San Francisco, in the United States.
San Francisco is the kind of extravagant place where a "fog-drawing" competition could draw as much attention as the gala balls that usher in the opera, symphony and ballet seasons. From Union Square to North Beach and Japantown, every neighborhood is intriguing and attractive.
The writers of the Beat Generation, the hippies who experienced the Summer of Love in the late 1960s, and the gay and lesbian population are part of the reason the city is what it is. is today. And we must not forget that San Francisco is one of the great gastronomic destinations in the world, thanks to the diverse cultural influences and the ease of obtaining fresh ingredients.
It is a city of contrasts: old and new, avant-garde and relaxed, urban and agricultural. It is a city in constant evolution. Add to that iconic landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz Island, and intriguing neighborhoods that are as individualistic as they are dynamic, and San Francisco becomes something captivating, creative, and truly unique.
