The Beta 3 Cup Details
You are required to play each team in your group 2x over the course of this weeklong tourney. Players schedule times on their own to match up, and play 2 matches. The winners are the teams that score the most goals over the 2 matches. Once all the round-robin matches have been played, the top 4 teams in each group play the cup bracket. The same rules apply.
Team Rules
@pokermaria set up the rules as follows:
- There are some restrictions on the composition of the team (there will be another one where the coach + starting 7 is enough):
- You must setup a team with minimum 1 coach + 7 starter + 5 substitutions (max. 1 GK sub) the 10 reserves are optional.
- You play all matches with the same team (coach + starting 7 + 5 substitutions + 10 reserves).
- You can swap players only within your team (between starting 7, subs and reserves), but no swap between the rest of your collection. That means no coach swap during the tournament.
- You should use the same team in the cup, too. Also play 2 matches in all pairs, if the overall result is a draw, then play until 1st win.

What I Learned
Here are some of the top lessons I learned through playing this cup:
- Players should balance offense and defense when selecting a team
- Coaches are very important, so check the coach abilities and balance those with your players
- If you want bench players select a few key subs - I used only 1-2, so you can fill the other slots with weaker players
- There are a limited number of actions each match, so use your moves wisely (20 per half, and 40 per game, split between 2 players as the clock moves 2:15min for each action)
- If you get down, it is hard to come back, so try to score early
- RNG is huge in this game, and sometimes you fail an 80% or more action and sometimes you succeed on a 30% or less move, so choose wisely.
- Practice more to learn the game
- Have fun!
See you on the Pitch!
