Pope Francis has acknowledged the acquiescence of French cardinal Philippe Barbarin who had been up to speed in a sex misuse case, the ecclesiastical overseer of Reims said in an announcement.
A French interests court upset in January a previous decision against Barbarin, in which he was indicted a year ago for neglecting to report sexual maltreatment allegations.
