Happy Monday my dear needleworkers! Here's my entry for this week's challenge! This time, it's another comfy hat for Baby Jianna, my great granddaughter. Antonia is already a young lady at 12 so she now gets my attention while she's still a baby! It's one of the main reason why I kept little things because I know I will be needing them at the right moment such as this kind of challenges. I know we have a lot of talented needleworkers here and I am a proud contributor especially when my works are featured for the week. It's overwhelming!
First, I gathered the materials I needed. Honestly, I just look around and pick the things I fancy. When something sparks in my mind, that will be the time to sit down and do my work non-stop! Lol! Are you with me guys? To think that it's been there all the time. This needlework challenges can really do wonders!
I dismantled an oversized Beret made of faux fur and dug into Antonia's stuffed toys. I have chosen a petit one that resembles that of a raccoon. It's perfect for my project!
I immediately made the pattern, sew it with my built-in lights on since it was already sundown. Then I pinned the baby raccoon atop the forehead for enhancement. The attractive pink tail followed. The hard part is the lining since you need to invert it and leave a little space to pull back the right face. It's nice to look at when you can't see the joints or edges when you make a cap with lining.
There, it's beautiful, right?
Now I have something to give 9n Baby Jianna's 7-month day next week! It's an achievement!
I hope you like it guys and once again, thank you for visiting my page and sending my love to @crosheille, @muscara, @marblely and @neumannsalva. God bless you guys!
Keep safe everyone.
Love,
