Health is the most precious asset for humans, and it's a requirement to live a happy life because nobody can be happy with a bad health condition. Being healthy is the greatest blessing, and most of us can understand it when we become sick. And sometimes we need to make consultant with doctors, and we are enlightened more about health from the visit.
I am one of the luckiest ones when it comes to health because I never visited the hospital for any health issues at any time. Maybe my habit of taking food was good. Again, it's also possible I got the good genes from my parents that made my unity system strong. In both cases I am thankful to my parents because I had developed my food habits by then, and again, I got the genes from them. As far as I can remember, I needed to visit to doctors for one issue, and it occurred approximately 7/8 years ago.
In that time I was suffering from conjunctivitis. I went to a normal doctor (not an eye specialist) and followed his instructions. Unfortunately, within two days the condition of my eyes became worse (it was bleeding something), and I became afraid. I made consultant with an eye specialist after that, and he said I received the wrong treatment, and that makes the eye condition worse. Following the instruction of an eye specialist, my eyes became better within 1 week. The doctor recommended to visit there again after 1 week for a checkup, and I ignored it as I recovered.
Everything was going well, but after 1 month I realized I had a vision problem in one of my eyes. In that time I didn't make any delay, and I immediately visited the doctor, and after testing, the doctor ensured that there was a white spot in the pupil. The doctor said that it was the effect of the eye issue of one month ago. The doctor said that I might need to use lenses (glasses), and the chance of full recovery was very low. Instead of it, the doctor gave me eye drops only for the next month, and fortunately my eye recovered, and I was happy for it because I didn't want to use a glass (lens).
What lesson have I learned from it? I actually learned two lessons. The first lesson is we need to make consultant with specialists rather than normal doctors, especially in cases of sensitive things like eyes. And the second lesson is that even after recovery, the checkup is very necessary. Doctors don't say it just for making money. I think I would not have faced vision problems if I had gone to the checkup 1 week later. If I went there, the issue would not be so serious like it was after one month.
Health is the most important thing, and paying a visit to the doctor for the extra time for a checkup won't cost too much money or time. I learned the lesson the hard way because my eye might not recover fully. Moreover, I needed to stay inside of the house to protect my eyes, and I missed all the university classes for that one month while taking treatment, as the doctor strongly said to avoid sunlight totally.

That was a great lesson learned...it's always better to see a specialist for a sensitive cases..it might be more expensive but Will definitely worth it
