The Chicopee Cultural Council aims to promote quality and accessibility in the creative, literary, and interpretative sciences. The Chicopee Cultural Council is dedicated to supporting local artists and enhancing the community's cultural access. The group accomplishes this by funding artists and arts organizations, engaging in volunteer work, and participating in the community. Through the power of the arts, culture, and creativity, we hope to improve everyone's quality of life and help our economy develop. With the help of our first grant, we hope to reach more people and provide our young adults additional chances for leadership, professional development, and caring. Developing our Mission and Future Planning for Content Creation and Business Organization
The mission of the One Strong Foundation is to cultivate strong and vibrant communities by pursuing four core pillars: Non-profit and Charitable Work, Art and Culture, Business and Lifestyle, and Education and Training.
I. Non-profit and Charitable Work: The Foundation recognizes the importance of giving back to the community and is dedicated to making a positive impact through non-profit and charitable initiatives. This pillar focuses on providing resources, support, and opportunities for those in need and encourages community members to become active participants in giving back to their communities.
The Executive Director, Charlie, is a key player in promoting Non-profit and Charitable Work. He curates content to generate Curation Rewards and builds connections with local businesses and government organizations to expand the network of board members and potential donors.
II. Art and Culture: The Foundation is dedicated to promoting and supporting the arts and culture within our communities. This pillar recognizes the importance of creative expression and encourages community members to explore their artistic talents. The foundation hopes to foster a rich artistic diversity and creativity community through this pillar.
We have Austin for the art and culture pillar. To illustrate his content development abilities and offer analysis of the most recent Marvel Phase 4 releases, such as Loki, Wandavision, Ms. Marvel, and Wakanda Forever, Austin is working on a Marvel Movie & TV Program Review show. Austin can express his opinions on this show's newest motion pictures and television programs, which will also delight the Hive neighborhood.
III. Business and Lifestyle: The Foundation supports and promotes small businesses and entrepreneurship. This pillar encourages community members to pursue their passions and entrepreneurial dreams while also promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle. The Foundation recognizes the vital role small businesses play in the success and sustainability of our communities.
Jayden spearheads the Business and Lifestyle pillar. To inspire the audience in the neighborhood, Jayden is using his expertise from culinary arts school and sharing his experiences. He oversees two websites and just traveled to New York for a business convention, where he would have had the chance to talk about One Strong. Jayden wants to help those who want to improve their lives and company strategies by offering insightful advice.
IV. Education and Training: The Foundation is dedicated to providing education and training opportunities for community members of all ages. This pillar encourages life-long learning and professional development and helps individuals gain the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their personal and professional lives. The Foundation recognizes the importance of education and training in the success and growth of our communities.
Finally, John represents the Education and Training pillar. Anyone interested in learning more about drawing technology and 3D printing may benefit from John's How-Tos, which give insightful knowledge and practical skills. John is committed to providing high-quality information and instruction to support people in developing their knowledge and careers.
In pursuing these four pillars, the One Strong Foundation strives to create a more inclusive, supportive, and empowering community for all members.
The One Strong Foundation wants to become an official Non-Profit Organization in Massachusetts by finishing the necessary paperwork. This includes setting up its mission, board of directors, and other rules to manage the group's structure.
The reason for doing this is to get access to community and art grants that will help support its programs like internships, workshops, and mentoring services. Being a Non-Profit also provides tax benefits for future donors who want to support the foundation's mission and charitable work.
First Week Concluded with Introductions and a Focus on the Business Plan
The 10-week internship program for the One Strong Community Program has started, and it is being overseen by Charles Laboy, the organization's executive director. Last week, three Chicopee Comprehensive High School students were unveiled as the foundational members of the Community on the Hive blockchain.
Every intern now has a Hive account, and among their responsibilities will be producing certain content and choosing content to be shown on the program's website. They will learn the value of creating high-quality content and its advantages, such as author recognition and curation prizes. On Friday, the interns went to a training session where they learned the importance of securing their keys and the difference between author incentives and curation prizes. Additionally, they were urged to highlight additional material and their preferred producers on the Hive platform.
The interns will concentrate on the business strategy for the internship and afterschool programming of the One Strong Community Program. They will use the One Strong Token to direct their work and develop a fruitful program.
Building a Strong Community with One Strong Foundation and One Strong Community Program Initiatives
The One Strong Foundation aims to incentivize its community members to participate in its ecosystem and programs through its Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism and the One Strong Token as the main currency. In addition, the Hive blockchain, on which the One Strong Token is built, provides a fast, efficient, and secure platform for decentralized applications.
In addition to staking rewards, voting power, and witness benefits, the One Strong Foundation has several other ways to encourage community engagement. One such method is through its Parent/Resident Volunteer program, in which participating members can receive One Strong Tokens for interacting with programming and reading the newsletter.
This provides an added incentive for parents and residents to get involved in their community and take an active role in its growth and success. Using One Strong Token as a reward, the Foundation can build a stronger, more engaged community while also increasing the token's value.
The Foundation offers incentives for community engagement and plans to apply for Art Grants in Massachusetts to financially support its content creation internship, afterschool programming, and Parent/Resident Volunteer Organizations. This shows a commitment to building a solid community and supporting its members' growth and development.
Through staking, voting, witness rewards, content creation, afterschool programs, and the Parent/Resident Volunteer program, the One Strong Foundation can build a community that is incentivized and engaged in its ecosystem. This is crucial for the success and sustainability of the project.
The Ecosystem can't exist without the One Strong Fund
The One Strong Foundation is developing a grant proposal for the 2023-2024 grant season. The proposal aims to establish a fund for the One Strong Community Program, which will support the families of the afterschool program and the interns participating in the One Strong Internship. The scholarship tokens distributed as part of activities and events for the One Strong Foundation and One Strong Community programs will be repurchased using the "One Strong Fund."
The Executive Director, Charles Laboy, and the current roster of interns (@arojasost, @jtorresost, and @jtpaganost) will work together to evaluate and develop the year one business plan for the One Strong Community Program. During this year's internship, the Executive Director will continue to discuss with the students about the One Strong Token and how it can be used to support the programs offered by the One Strong Community Program, including the Internship, Before and After School Programming, and Event Volunteering/Vending.
The interns will play a key role in developing proposals and devising new uses for the One Strong Token. The One Strong Token (OST) can always be sold on the Hive-Engine platform for market prices. However, the Foundation's goal is to manage the @onestrongfund to create a permanent buyback price for participants of the Internship or School-Age Programming.
Stay tuned for our weekly updates to learn more about the progress of this exciting project and how the One Strong Foundation is working to make a positive impact in the community.
Thanks for reading! We appreciate you supporting our organization.
As Executive Director of the Program, I am genuinely excited to continue this work with these three. Despite having a closure for the day because of the cold weather, they have impressed me with their work this week. I still see they will challenge me for the rest of our time together. But I am thankful to have them, and I hope this work inspires them to stay around and build a lifelong relationship if they decide to return as Alumni. I think presenting their work to the cultural council will be huge when we meet them at the Grantee Reception.
I look forward to sharing more with you in the coming weeks. Thank You! - Charles Laboy @claboyost
