What positives are you seeing in the midst of the coronavirus gloom? "Believers would Grow"

Reading this blog by @nextgen622 made me happy as I have been reflecting on the possible positive sides of the Corona Pandemic plaguing the whole world. The content of my submission would cover the believers in Christ Jesus.

There I a biblical record of the the persecution which plagued the church in Jerusalem after the death of Stephen. The result of this was that the disciples were scattered and the gospel was preached and received in other places.

“Saul was in hearty agreement with putting him to death. And on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. Some devout men buried Stephen, and made loud lamentation over him. But Saul began ravaging the church, entering house after house, and dragging off men and women, he would put them in prison. Therefore, those who had been scattered went about preaching the word” (Acts 8:1-4).

Today, the covid pandemic has also affected the church which has been closed down. But I see a season where there is going to be a revival after these trying times.

Like today, we were forced to keep fellowships in the house. instead of a large congregation, we met in numbers less than 10. This means that:

  • new leaders would emerge;
  • new workers would be equiped;
  • faith would be grown in the weak;
  • the prayerless would learn how to pray.

I see an army rising up after this season of pain and persecution. I see people grow into their true destinies and there would be provoking encounters.

My call to the church is as recorded in the Epistle of Paul to the Ephesians in the 5th chapter:

14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

I pray that revival will hit the church and every sleeper would wake up to the fulness of God.
