Today in our daily Bible study, we will be looking at the topic a clean and faithful heart.
King David isreal's most famous ruler, a man after God's own heart committed the sins of adultery and murder. About a year after, prophet btought David face-to-face with his sins.
As his defences crumbled, he cried I have sin against the Lord.
Nathan the prophet replied the Lord also has put away your sin in spite of the devastating consequences of David sin he was assured of God forgiveness.
Psalm Chapter 51 Verse 6-12.
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. [7] Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. [8] Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. [9] Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. [10] Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. [11] Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. [12] Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
God does not hate the sinner, however a condemns sins. When a sinner genuinely repent of his sins, forgiveness is sure.
We must constantly ask God to cleanse us from within. right conduct can only come from a clean heart and pure Spirit. we all need God's spirit to create in us a pure heart that it's in and a renewed spirit that desires to do God's will.
Conviction makes us sad, confession makes us glad.
how clean is your heart today is there anything in your life that God is asking you to depart from so that you will again be made whiter than snow.
