Great repair work, was the original galvanized steel for drinking water? isn't that toxic? Water pipes in my country are all copper, drainage is pvc.
It's one of those jobs that we keep postponing until it's decided we HAVE to do it haha, I think we all have those jobs.

The house is almost 100 years old so the plumbing is a hodge podge of various types. Most of it is copper or pvc but there is still galvanized allowed in the building codes for water. Most all new construction gets PEX run.
