The moment I have been waiting for is gradually coming closer. If you know just how much I have missed eating beans you will realized why I am stalking this beans. That grains got so expensive at the market and is currently been sold for $2.5 for just a few cups of beans. I remember when I did an outreach earlier this year. A kind friend from hive offered us some HBD funds to reach out to needy families in our community.

With about $82 HBD we were able to handout substantial amount of grains to 10families that can make tham some healthy meals but as at today that same amount can barely feed 3families. Prices of commodities tripled from that moment. I remember purchasing this same beans for $1, then $11.5 and now the current price you see above. Alot of people no longer eat beans since only the few wealthy ones can afford that food.

For us farmers that challenge is only for a while. The very moments our beans begins to ripe in farm, we will have some of that grains to eat.

You need to see how excited I felt seeing that our beans have started producing seeds. The production of flowers was instantly followed by seed production hence we aren't much far away from eating beans.
Sometimes I wish that we have planted much more than what we have in the far currently since beans was one of the plants that didn't have any challenge with rains this year.

I equally also wish that we have had more people plant beans. At least they will all be expecting to harvest and store some grains most especially this one that got overly expensive, not many people are willing to farm here and that is why they will lack eating this proteinous foods especially when they cannot afford the ones sold in the market.

In the coming days alot more people will go hungry if they don't find their way to the farms to grow their own food. Prices of commodities continually goes up, salaries not been enough to meet up with prices and hunger escalation as people may no longer be able to afford their meals. We don't pray for the worst, we actually hope that things get better but we all have to take possible action steps to avert further challenges.

Giving this 2-3weeks you will see my fully riped beans which may be even ready for harvest.

It's really a joyful moment seeing the product of our farm labour producing good seedlings. Beans farming is really good and helpful because it serves as family source of protein even in the midst of this hard economy. Keep up the good job my dear. 🎉🎉👍👍

Thank you.
