Hello Hive.
It is a good day to drop by our groundnut farm today after several work transplanting rice in the field.
Guess what harvest is any moment from now. The groundnut leaves are drying off already signifying that the seeds beneath are ripe for harvest.
I could have just pulled off a root to see the progress of the groundnut seeds underneath but often times we do not want to leave thief to know that harvest has begun since we are not starting work this week.
Whenever we begin work we often make sure that we start harvest and work on a daily basis until harvest is completed. Coming to farm in a day and missing the next day would leaves our crops vulnerable to thief since there is practically no farming crops that they do not steal around
Whenever the groundnut leaves are dried, we mark the farms into portions so that we can monitor the places we work on per day.
Pulling the roots and plucking out the seeds.
Groundnut harvest is one of the tedious task you can imagine. And any moment from now I will bring to us the process of how this is done and the measure of our harvest.
I am glad it's time for you to reap the rewards of your hardwork and efforts.
I really hope the thieves don't come around... And if they dare to, I pray they get caught. It's always a good deterrent whenever a scapegoat is caught.
Well done, dear!🤗💯
That is true.
Thanks alot dear.
You are also invited to harvest 🤓
Awwwn... Thank you for the invitation.
to be honest, this is the first time i'm seeing groundnut leaf
Wow.. That is surprising.
Your post has inspired me to look up groundnuts. Is it the same as peanuts? Or, are they from the same family?
It's sad that you need to invest so much energy and be strategic to deter thieves in your farming process.
I also found it fascinating where you said that the fallen leaves indicate that there are seed below to be harvested.
Locally we call it groundnuts but the official name is peanut.
There is hunger everywhere but lazy people prefer to steal rather than work and plant the food they eat.
The mature stage is when the leaves gets dried and fall off regardless of the amount of rainfall..
The leaves will remain ever green like the one here when the seeds are not yet ready for harvest.
And here is the groundnut/peanut we are talking about.

That irks me. In Jamaica where I'm from, there is a lot of looting, but more when there are natural disasters.
I trust that your efforts to keep the thieves out will be effective, because it's difficult to see others reap your hard work and steal from your livelihood.
It's the first time I'm seeing peanuts growing:)
Thanks for the additional information 🤗
Oh I guess that no part of the world is exempted with regards to thieves who steal different dimension.
I hope we stay safe and its better they steal our groundnuts than harm the farmers unlike we have these occurrences in other places.
Farmers get attacked before their crops get stolen.
Thanks for the comments.
I appreciate your time here.
Yes, indeed. It's a sad world, and better to watch the crop go that be at the mercy of thugs.
Have a great day:)
Do you hire helpers to help with the harvest?

Thank you so much dear @phoenixwren.
I truly appreciate this.
I'm glad it went through! The last two times I tried to boost someone it didn't work.
There are criteria for it.
And boost won't be permitted if those criteria were not meet.
Thanks you for your ceaseless support.
ahhh, I need to find what the criteria are, I didn't realize that. Thanks!
Maybe @melinda01010077 can help us with some of the rules on using Ecency boost if they don't mind.
Thank you.
