HELLO HIVE
We got so many reasons why we can just have the feeling to build a garden around our houses and the health benefits of most of these plants are one of the important reasons several different kinds of plants can go into our garden but I have to make the most of the little part of the land around our to plant crops that have the most benefits to me and are not always readily available in markets like the other ones.
Bitter leaf is a kind that isn't so common in the market and I wasn't a fan of this vegetable leaf when I was a kid whenever it was used for soup I found it difficult to enjoy the meal for that day and that always made me wonder why my mom kept on making soup with this leaf in particular and it took me a long time to understand its benefits the name that it is called locally explains it all, not everyone likes eating something bitter like Garcinia kola and this leaf but these two have so much health benefits than lots of the sweet things we take all around but we never understand this and I want to highlight some of this benefits just to give people who are shying away from this leaf a bit of a rethink and to also introduce others who do not have any idea that a plant with so many nutrients exists and how we can grow this plant without stress in our gardens.
One big benefit that this leaf has that I didn't notice over the years was its ability to treat fever, when I was a kid once we had any symptoms of fever my mom would get some of this leaf and squeeze out water from the leaf and this was effective fever treatment remedy but that was never really something I was happy to take when I was a kid because of how bitter it is, the antipyretic properties in it are what helps it reduce the fever.
It also treats sore throat, treats respiratory infections, improves digestion, and treats skin disease. There are so many other benefits so I wonder why I avoided it when I was a kid but I guess it is because of the bitter taste that I has.
Now it will make sense to have it in your garden and you don't need to do much you just have to get a branch from the plant and then it's good to go.
Yeah, it is indeed salty. I already tried to drink it and it makes me vomit, but I drink it with water after Mom noticed that I vomit it. At first I didn't understand it until I found out that most of the bitter herbal has got the most healthy benefits, including that one.
