Thankfully I was able to blaze back north after dropping her back off at work and taking her car to get to North 40. They have/had an ammo sale going on that I seriously thought was a misprint in the add. Max 100 boxes per customer!?!?!? WTF!? AND OF THIS AMMO!?! REALLLLLLLYYYYY?!?!?
So I parked, got a cart from outside and loaded up the 5 bags of bird feed just inside the front door. I then wheeled back to the ammo region and found one layer of cases left on a pallet of the 9mm. I grabbed the case and tossed on my cart as I got a call from the tire shop, they had trouble finding my warranty.
Talking to the checkout guy he said there was a long line at 7am and that was my proof that I was lucky to get there in time. $9/box for jacketed hollow points with very high expansion. Thank you very much I'll take a case. It was SUPER DUPER tempting to get a second but the unselfish side of me took over and I figured it was good for others to get a chance at a case while they were there. Plus I didn't need to spend another $180.
Baby's got some new shoes! And what damned good timing as it dumped 3" of snow last night.
HAH HAH HAH Arsenal lost badly to Newcastle! To see Pep or Arteta mad and disappointed is rather glorious.
After my success with the case for my db meter I went and printed the red box overnight but swapped out to gray in the morning to print the lid and some containers. What I had done though was screw up the resizing so the lid I printed out was way the wrong size which meant I had to run another print to get the right size. I printed another box that would fit the big lid then a proper sized lid. They go together with filament for the hinges and work really really well. 8" long and this one is 3" wide.
These screw top containers are nifty but need to have the lids resized to fit over the top of the base and not but the sides.
The boys got home from school and then after 4pm I took them to town to drop J with @stryeyz for their volleyball practice in town. R and I headed back north past the farm a couple miles to Backroads for dinner. We got lucky to get in and ordered before the party of 25 arrived for their birthday party.
Back home R had a task from school to see how many books he can stack on a structure made of index cards and paperclips. It started simple but quickly progressed.
He made it to here which we weighed and was 18.32 pounds of books. He was extremely proud of it. I printed the pic so he can take it to school today to show his teacher.
Then it turned into dominoes through the house.
The printer is going almost non stop and this cube is super handy. I resized it to make it bigger so the sharpies fit in it. The prior one only fits pencils. This is so much easier to find everything in compared to the bin/box thing before.
Got out to soak for a while before heading. The printer was going still so I turned the light off inside and turned the speed down to quiet it.
Woke this morning at 3:45 to see it DUMPING snow. We got 3 inches this morning and it already has stopped. Will make for an interesting day. Thankfully I got new tires yesterday. I'm not sure what I'm doing today yet...

Nice price on the 9 mm ammo! It's hard to find good prices on quality anymore, and a max of 100 a customer. They must have gotten an amazing deal!
Impressive just how strong those index cards are, that's a lot of weight they held!
!BBH
Yeah the ad said $23 off and they had 2 different 9mm, the .40, and the 10mm available. Crazy and all their stores did the sale. Only time I see boxes that cheap are generally range loads, not JHP.
For nice hollow points that's dirt cheap! I would have bought a bunch too!
Makes me wonder if they know something we don't... A huge supply of quality self defense ammo now in the public's hands days before the new regime.
I'm sure it will work just fine! I once owned a Makarov 9x18. I made the mistake of buying Russian ammo, out of a box of fifty two misfired, and my fingers were stained yellow by all the sulfur in the powder. That sucked!
I'm sure what you bought is far superior! You bought a good brand!

$9 a box for hollow point is a good deal!👍😊
Are these brass casings?
Yep nice brass shells. Just them alone would be $30 for a 1000 for reloading.
Absolutely I wonder why they were on sale so cheap?
I’ve held off on buying 9 mm because it’s so expensive over here !🙄
I'm curious why the sale as well. Interesting the timing.
👍 definitely interesting timing!
My son tellls me they are going to put a waiting period on ammo purchased soon…….
Thankfully Idaho is 20 miles east of us so I will just buy there.
👍😀
Dang. Any idea when the deal ends? I may need to buy a few boxes.
It was a while supplies last for the ammo but the sale goes for a week or more.
