Trailer, Ortho, Driving, Safe, 3DP, Can Dispensers, Wrestling, HSW - Wednesday

Yesterday morning was a bit wonky as J had his ortho appointment at 9am which he just stayed home while R went to school. I got the trailer hooked up to my truck and stickers and straps loaded so I could buy a safe. We headed into town not too long later.

I'd wanted to have him checked for a while as I have always been a bit concerned by the shape of his bite, which is a bit off. The people are all nice there but it is a definite sales pitch feeling to it. I really wanted to have a "pro" look to get an idea of just how "bad" things are but even if we were to decide to do the ortho it would be 9-12 months from now. I want to research other options for changing the bite rather than braces and a pallet block. I'm not sure he needs the torture of braces if we can work on the bite.

After the appointment I got a text from the guy I was going to see about the safe that he needed to take his daughter to school as she missed the bus (college). So that gave me time to take J to school all the way north of the farm but I stopped off on my way back to town then. I got into north Spokane by 11am and he got back about 15 minutes later.

The safe is an ancient old UL brand. It took us a good 20 minutes of trying to combo to finally get it figured out but once I did it a couple of times I felt comfortable with it. $300 is great and I was able to get it off the trailer by myself. I slid it back and tipped it up and BAM, it was standing on its casters.

I had left the 3DP off for the morning as I needed to be present for the run as I was having all kinds of trouble getting the HSW to start printing right. I eventually remembered that I have a small part setting that ups the bed temp so I set to that and it works great now.

I finally got the can dispensers in the fridge and they work great. The white Claw sized one works just right and accepts the pint cans as well. Only thing is making a size for the C2O cans.

The HSW (honeycomb storage wall) got screwed to the wall right next to my computer and quickly got populated with a number of things that are now off my desk.

I got dinner ready in the evening in time for R to eat and then to get wrestling practice. I have to say it's pretty nifty that he walks into the room and a bunch of kids yell out his name, in a good way. This is his 4th year of wrestling so he is really getting the hang of it now and is less prone to messing around during practices.

So Joe who I got the safe from said it was in his family his whole life as it was his father's who worked for telephone companies back in the day. I've been needing a safe for years but never could get myself to spend the money on a new one. I rather prefer this super solid old school one to a new one.

That basket takes forever to print with the honeycomb sides. Though even solid takes a long time.

They had a good end to practice as they got to play dodge ball. It is pretty funny and a great way for them to all explode what energy they have left.

Got him to soak the mat ick off in the chlorine before he headed to bed. I got another sheet of HSW going on the printer then headed out to soak.

This morning I got the printer working already, will get the boys to school, my dehumidifier will be here so I need to enclose the base of the printer in wood so the filament stays good and make doors for the front, Man Utd will get embarrassed by the Rangers, the Kraken play, I pickup the boys after STEM club, then have dinner ready as @stryeyz has bible study.
