Sleep is not great right now. Yesterday was another uber early morning but with a twist. Poor J was up off and on over the night with an upset stomach and at 4am he came into the bedroom and woke us for some help. I got up then and stayed up since my face was super sore and the pain was ever present.
He ended up getting a bit more sleep eventually.
It snowed a tiny bit and was just stopping around 4:30am. You can see it was barely half an inch.
I got R to school. got my post done, then eventually got J up and ready for school. I was rather surprised we managed to keep most of the snow for the daylight hours, at least until the rains hit after dark.
@stryeyz came home mid day and we went over to R's winter concert. This time he was up on the top row so we actually got to see him. Blue shirt on the right side.
I felt like absolute hell as the pain in my face was omnipresent and all consuming and @stryeyz was ultra tired. The 2nd graders finished their songs and as they were filing out we snuck out as well and headed back home.
My whole afternoon was spent trying to reduce the pain. This is the swollen area that is painful to the touch.
And this is the muscles/tendons/nerves that were on fire all day long. It had me a bit concerned with the consistent pain level it maintained all day. I've been eating antibiotics like mad in hopes of breaking down the swelling. It took until near bed time for the intensity of the pain to lower.
It was after 9pm when we headed out to soak but I opened the door and heard the rain then looked at the doppler. We had a half hour window before the rain really hit.
Not long after the half hour was up the storm hit and it then rained all night until it just stopped about 10 minutes ago.
Was up at 3:15am this morning but managed another hour of sleep on the couch. The pain is not nearly as sharp and overbearing now so it seems the swelling is slowly, ever so slowly, going down. R has a birthday party to go to this morning so J and I will be at home. I have a roll of PetG to try printing with as I want to make a large catapult for snow balls and will need the PetG for the arm but need practice. It rained all night and looks to be done for the day already, there is soccer on this morning, the Kraken play this evening, ans hopefully my pain is low enough to grill for dinner.

Glad the pain is subsiding a bit, sounds like no fun…..
I hope you feel better soon!😮
It's taking forever but slowly the swelling is going down.
Very good to hear...... I think that's one of the worst pains I've had..OUCH!!🙄
Now we're seeing that people who live where it gets a lot of snow are having a little bit of a hard time.
