S19, Utd, Ski Swap, Skiing Gear, Lunch, Steaks, Prepping 800 Garlic Cloves, Fire, Grilling, Kraken - Saturday

Warm morning yesterday thanks to the cloud cover which was quite nice after the freeze. In what started as a typical Utd match of them being down a goal at half ended up with them miraculously winning. It's sad what the team has become.

I did it. I pulled the trigger and ordered myself an S19 95TH/s from Kaboomracks. It is so much more efficient than the S9 and is going to put out a ton more heat for the greenhouse this winter. I'll likely have it on eCash solo mining as miners running near 100TH/s are are getting a block every few days or so. I may turn the S9 over to J so he can learn to use it and we can set him up to run on the Braiins pool so he can get a 1000 sats a day.

I have some electrical work to do to get 220 volts to the greenhouse but I have the wire for it and the breakers so it won't be too hard. I just want to do it when it is not raining which it will be off and on for the next weeks.

A bit before 10am we all loaded up in the car and headed the hour north to Colville.

There we went to the fairgrounds and the 49 North ski swap. We found skis fro both boys and @stryeyz, along with boots, poles, and helmets for the boys.

There was a rather large selection to dig through and we spent a while gathering everything we wanted.

I got an old pair of skis only for the telemark bindings that I will be putting on my back country skis. I just need to find myself some tele boots and I will be ready for back country trips with Art this winter.

After a stop all Wallyworld for shoes for R we headed to the Pour House for lunch. While we waited for our food the boys played a game of chess. Good food and beer had us sufficiently serensified and once done we headed south towards home.

We made it JUST in time before they closed. Lone Crow Ranch is where we get our beef from and have gotten our bison from. We wanted some more steaks and roasts which @stryeyz was able to get while the boys and I waited in the car. After we stopped at the ice cream shop next door for quarts and pints to take home with us.

Mid afternoon I grabbed a tv try and the box of #garlic and got to separating all the cloves and counting them. All 10 got pulled apart and there were some seriously huge cloves with a few varieties. 1 pound only had 30 and 32 cloves. A couple of others, that I grew last year and saved to grow this year have 150 cloves in the pound. Next year I will have to have 3 pounds of a some, 2 pounds of others, and then 1 pound of the rest if I want 100 cloves per variety. I ended up with 794 cloves from the 10 varieties and still have 3 more that are to ship soon.

I got the fire going in the pit and kept it stoked for later grilling our steaks.

The Kraken played and they are proving to be pretty good so far this year.

R ended up with his leg hurting at some point in the evening and he used the massager on it and his moans of relief were rather funny.

Headed out to soak for a while but ended up a bit too hot so was out after an hour.

I walked in the house just in time to watch Eberle score the winning goal in OT. Puts them in 2nd in the division and now 10th in the league. We watched an episode of Mrs. Maisel after then went to bed.

This morning is nice and warm again at 42F and should be mid 70s today. PDC finals day, Seahawks play this morning, I need to keep cutting on the stump and then it is Garlic planting day.

nice purchase on that ASIC, I may join you soon in a purchase of one or more.

That is a lot of garlic! lol

Seriously, $300 shipped for the S19 is more than half off from just 6 months ago. It should pay for itself within a couple months most likely.

This is only the garlic tip, my plans for the next years include growing a LOT more. The garlic farm up north has 26 varieties they grow so I have a ways to go. There is little else better to grow than garlic as it gets planted then harvested with little work required.
