Hello Homesteading Community!

Our DIY build is keeping us as busy as ever. So, I want to share a bit about both elements of my daily life with you all. We have nearly completed the first layer of plastering. All that is left to do are the super awkward corners and crawl spaces. My partner is currently tackling the electrical circuit. So I am the one climbing ladders and working at odd angles. For the most part I am smoothing out bumpy plastering or adding it to places we missed the first time around. It isn't hard but, it also isn't very comfortable.

I am truly grateful that the spring weather has been warm and rainy. I do not miss working in the cold. But, working right in front of a window while the sun is blasting gets a bit too warm for me. And the warming weather also means that the plaster starts to ferment and give off an ... interesting smells.
Smells, awkward positions, and being covered in mud are all just part of life as a homesteader, aren't they?
Happy homesteading everyone!
You are doing great with the plastering. It's a job considered too tedious for women in my region, but I love how you handled it.
Wow that is interesting, here where I live (in Argentina) I see both men and women doinh this job, mostly women actually. I must admit that the job is very tedious!
