On this day of fungi friday, I want to present a photographic series that I could take these days without having to leave my house, it was really a beautiful find and I felt quite happy with the result.
In the backyard of my house there is a curious tree which has been drying in parts, it seems incredible to me since one part of its trunk is green, leafy and full of life and on the other side it is dry, moth-eaten and flooded by ants and other wood-loving insects, and that is where I found this beautiful mushroom.

It is growing in some cracks in the trunk, some are in groups and some others are alone, it has a beautiful fluffy appearance and is pearl-colored on the top with its characteristic filaments under the hat.

I made a close-up of one of them, where I could capture it from the side, you can see part of its hat and its spongy shape as well as its fine filaments at the bottom and we can see how it is clinging to the trunk tree.

They are growing everywhere, completely invading the part of the trunk that is already lifeless, both in the flat and in the irregular parts, filling an inert place with life.

I close the photographic series, with a slightly wider shot, where I managed to capture a group of fungi that is being born in a sloping part of the trunk, demonstrating its strength since gravity does not wreak havoc on them, although we cannot ignore its fragility that is also present as they have some areas battered by the passage of time and climate.
