A Silver Lining to Every Cloud - A Cloud to Every Silver Lining
When we rejoice under a sky as happened yesterday evening two old sayings came to mind, over and above some others I will reveal as we go. Taking a peak through onto the hills from my home.
"A Silver Lining to Every Cloud" an optimist, or "A Cloud to Every Silver Lining" the pessimist, either way we relate to both under different circumstances.
A bad year being wished away, ill health, bad storms we always hoping an unpleasant situation would come to an end.
Had we not experienced the bad patch of illness, time or weather, we would most definitely not anticipate a brighter future, the saying almost denotes one has to pass through hard times to appreciate better.
Life is the journey we have to travel under dark clouds of depression or doom or whatever faces us during our times, enabling us to recognize the end when eventually revealed.
No matter what life serves up, we are always presented with a positive from within negative events, we need to find them.
All Is Not Gold That Glitters
Warning not to go blindly on the belief of others. Anything presented as a bright shiny future or object may burn your fingers or more.
From a distance the clouds appear as alien terrain looking down into an unknown world.
Zooming in a little appearance of gold being smelted, bubbling churning embers above.

You see, we don't always need glitz and glamour, just watching this half an hour of sunset revealed more than intended, seeing hell and fury, witnessing the silver lining, gold rush at it's best, a spectacular end to the second day of 2021.
OK now we on the third day it takes time to prepare and post, a little thought about old sayings I hope you enjoyed, if not I hope the photo's enthralled you as the sky captured an unusual Fire Dance.

There's so much truth in these sayings, and there are a lot of good and really good things this bad year 2020 has brought besides the lockdowns and health issues.
People tend to forget the bad things that have happened. I hope they remember the good things and don't forget the bad this time.

One thing I have learned over the years is people love to complain, seldom stop and do a reality check.
Old sayings and proverbs were used constantly growing up, along with some songs that one remembers. My Dad was born in 1911 lived through much including WW2. His generation could live on a bottle of water to drink, shave and wash per day in Egypt, being bombed in the desert ending up with shrapnel he carried to his last.... Now I must complain, no, I rather rationalize and think about it.
One thing I do dream of is a cleaner environment and better future for the next generation, alas the red in the sky is also partially a sign of pollution high above.

Haha, the Austrians, especially the people from our capital Vienna are known to complain all the time. If an Austrian doesn't complain about anything for a while he must be ill 🤣
We are different from our parents, our lives were different - I know similar stories from my grandfather and from my father in law.
A cleaner earth would be wonderful, I would even be glad if people would throw their waste into the waste bins 😉

Moral of the story we cannot allow time to complain or be bored, our parents tried their best for our future we must do the same for our future generations.
As a people we tend to move forward, yet it comes with a lot of bickering, pushing and shoving which sometimes pushes us back instead of forward.
Oh life is wonderful, if only we captured the full picture, a destination in 100 years from now 😄

Although I like to watch many phenomena myself, sometimes it is necessary to share ideas with another person :-)

Dark cloud has been hanging over our beautiful country for some time, even for extraordinary beauty around us we are all feeling it.
Keeping positive, working together toward a better future will be the only way to happiness. We must never forget where we come from to know where we are going.

This is such a wonderful post, @joanstewart. I love the perspective you have added, interspersed among the beautiful pictures of clouds on fire. The smelting gold idea will stick with me when I see rippled golden brilliant clouds!
It's so true that if we had not been through tough times, we would be much less likely to appreciate the good times ahead. Perspective is a very good thing.
When the grass outside turns a luminous green you know the skies above are dancing in colour.
The gold is the closest I have seen to what it looks like when smelted just prior to pouring, another amazing thing to witness.
When life gets tough, the tough get going, standing together a lot will be overcome if people respect each other to get each other through these trying times.

Turbulent week of thunderstorms overhead, excessive heat followed by crazy, kinda like sums up life at the moment.
Yup those shiny objects can hurt, over zealous people plying their trade.
Always remember "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never harm me." No one walks in another's shoes to fully appreciate where their life is at.
