This is so inspiring, @jaynie. It reminds me of so many moments in my life where my brash and brazen self was over-ruled and squashed by my inhibited and self-doubting self. I think we all have both of those things within us in greater and lesser degrees - kind of like an Angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other. It’s always a game to see which one will take the lead in any given situation.

I wish confidence built upon itself so that you never lost ground you had gained, but unfortunately it is not a linear process. Maybe the best we can do in those times when confidence is lacking is to recall times when we had command of the situation so those two selves can come together and the confident one can win.
