Do our dreams reveal our deepest secrets?

Hello, hivers last night I see a pretty interesting dream and how you already know this lockdown time is pretty boring so I start to search for some info about dreams and I want to share with you what I found.

No, your strange naked dream is not a signal of your love life.

You wake up in the middle of the night with a fast-beating heart. After a moment you realize that you did not actually run from room to job interview with only a towel around your hips. Depending on the dream interpreter you choose, you will find different explanations for this dream. Maybe you're worried about work, maybe you feel ashamed or humiliated, maybe you're a disguised exhibitionist. Given all possibilities, can dreams really reveal our deepest secrets?

Dreams can provide useful insights into our inner lives, but regardless of what is said in Hollywood or in a favorite novel, no study can prove that dreams reflect our inner world.

"There really is no study to support this view"

Deirdre Barrete, a psychologist and dream researcher at Harvard Medical School says, dreams contain no symbols and dream interpreters can't tell you what your dream really means.

People have long been trying to find the meaning of dreams. In ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt, dreams were considered messages from the gods. But psychologist Zigmund Freida believed that dreams were a kind of fulfillment of desires and revealed to our hidden desires.

But now scientists think dreams are not encrypted and fantastic. In fact, it is more like thinking when you are awake thinking about something. However, that does not mean that dreams are meaningless. Research confirms that when we dream we process the same interests, memories, and worries that we normally have during the day.

"We have fantasies, we think about fear and danger, we think about social life and loved ones"

According to research, dreams are the most often credible stories of our daily lives. Except for those weird times when something really fantastic happens. Although dreams are more like waking thoughts, our brains work in a completely different way. The biochemical state of the brain during dreams is quite different. The chemical cocktail changes, as does the activity of the brain in different areas. The secondary visual brain center responsible for imaging becomes much more active. That's why we see dreams. At the same time, the daily thought-creative filter prefrontal brain area shuts down.

For some psychologists, this is important, but it is still useful to maintain a certain skepticism that dreams definitely contain intrinsically meaningful symbols or represent a suppressed wish.

Dreams can be called the dialogue between the symbolically and logically functioning parts of the brain.

There is no formula to decode dreams, it is not some treasure chest that has not yet been discovered, but it does give us insight into how we function.

But also you need to remember this is only a small part of all the information about dreams ho you can found and no one exactly knows what is the best explanation about our my dreams.
