This is Howie. Or at least that what I'm going to call him. Hoppity Howie the frog.
I was sitting on my front porch perusing Hive this hot and humid morning when I came across this guy. He hopped right up on to the porch column right to me, scampered his way half way up and is now relaxing there while keeping a careful eye on the strange hooman sitting next to him.
I couldn't resist the opportunity to take a few quick pictures to share with everybody here on Hive. It's nothing fancy but it's a nice quick little post.
Apparently hes a Carolina Squirrel Tree Frog. I love the little yellow speckles on his back. And he has a neat yellowish white stripe along his flanks. I think he's waiting for this one moth thats buzzing around to stray too close. Hope he gets his little snack.

It's my first time seeing something like this. It really looks so cool, I want to see one personally. Stay safe always!
We have lots of frogs around where i am. They love to hide on leaves and around the hose. I guess they like the wetness. You dont realise how many there are until at night and they all start croaking
