Weekend-engagement week twelve: What would you send? [Win hive for your comment and engagement]

in The LIFESTYLE LOUNGE4 years ago (edited)

It's Friday again and time for you to win some hive with this week's #weekend-engagement topic! Keep reading to find out how.

Please remember, this is an engagement initiative designed to promote engagement so dropping a comment-response then simply leaving is discouraged...Dropping a comment-response then staying around to comment a little on some of the others is encouraged.

This weeks sponsors are @tarazkp, @bigtom13, @meesterboom, @stevenwood and @galenkp. Thanks for your sponsorship and support.

If you feel like sponsoring simply transfer the hive to my wallet with a note that it is for the #weekend-engagement topic week 12 and I'll add your name to the list above.

Topic inspiration

Last week I began to engage with a user called @hidave, an American that lived here in Australia for a while. He's now back in the States but thinks fondly of Australia and the people who live here. We've engaged a lot in the last week and had some cool conversations. He's a legit dude and a nice chap with some interesting things to say.

In one of our chats he mentioned a food-product that he used to get here in Australia but cannot get in America also telling me that he really misses it. It's a legit product, one I love also so I decided to send him some in the mail. I'll do a post about it later.

He's pretty excited and I've also put another little surprise in there for him so I think he'll crack a smile and be very grateful; That makes me happy and I really enjoy doing random acts of generosity like this - It's fun.

I decided to go with that theme for this weeks' topic.

The topic

What would you send me in the mail and why? A comment will work fine but you could also draw it or add a photograph it as well. This hypothetical of course...So you're not actually sending me anything ok?

It can be anything at all, for any reason at all so, as always, try to be creative and fun...This is a fun concept after all and I could use a laugh at the present moment.

Simply drop your comment below before the end of Sunday night and you're in the running for some hive transferred directly to your wallet.

Engagement on hive is pivotal to building relationships and it's relationships that will help users have more fun, build a greater presence and, of course, gain more rewards.

One could hold out in the hope of a vote from a whale or build solid relationships and get many votes moving forward. Both ways come with results, only one way will bring sustained or continuous votes. Hint: holding out for whale votes that may not come is not the way to go.

It's all a choice though, as is joining in on the #weekend-engagement topic.

Feel free to share this post around with people you think might be interested and could use a few extra hive in their wallet...Drop your comment and images below and engage.

Design and create your ideal life, don't live it by default - Tomorrow isn't promised.

Be well

Hello @galenkp, my grandfather was from the Guajira ethnic group and they make a very beautiful craft, I would give you a very beautiful and colorful hammock woven by hand of my ancestors. They are very comfortable and ideal for relaxing and reading a book under a tree.

I have some in my house and when I receive visitors and I don't have enough beds for everyone so I take out my hammocks so they can sleep, they are very practical. A greeting from my city Maracaibo, Venezuela.

image.png

Winner, winner. Chicken dinner.

Resting and sleeping. Two serious topics with me.

Amen Tom! Anything sleep related wins my vote too lol.

If you are doing the cooking BTW could you make mine a vegetarian chicken dinner? :D

Not a problem! All my chickens are vegetarian. No meat fed to them at all...

Dairy either. You could have Vegan chicken dinner.

Oh well! That sounds awesome no trace of meat anywhere with these incredible vegan chickens... I should be fine and dandy :D

Hahahaha, thank you so much! I love sleeping too

What a great gift to hypothetically send me! This Guajira hammock looks very comfortable and to think it was made by your ancestors...Doubly special.

I can see myself snoozing in the back yard on a lazy spring Saturday afternoon in my Guajira hammock.

A thoughtful hypothetical gift. Thank you.

!ENGAGE 25

I am glad you liked it so much! I remember that my grandma used to always sleep in a hammock like this, she even preferred it over sleeping in a bed.

Colourful and comfortable...What's not to like? 🙂

Colourful and comfortable...What's not to like? 🙂

Colourful and comfortable...What's not to like? 🙂

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Wow!
That looks fantastic to take a siesta in a hot summer weekend!

It's the most stylish siesta one can have!

This is so cool! And beautiful.

I am glad you like it, I also think it's very beautiful

Love this!

Thank you!

That hammock is beautiful and looks very comfortable, I want one too, I would spend my time there.

Very nice present.

I am glad you liked it! It's very comfortable and it makes you feel like you are flying hahaha.

Sweet. What a beauty. We have hamacas in Oriente, but nothing like this. This is the mother of all hammocks

It's stunning! I'm really used to these designs since they are so tied to my heritage

Nice hammock. I have thought about getting one but don't know where I would put it.

My mother has two tenterhooks inside her room for her hammock, what's nice about it is that you can take it out whenever you want! You only need two tenterhooks

Beautiful and original hammock, a wonderful gift idea.

Thank you so much! I am glad you liked it

KrazzyTrukker loves hammocks. & That is a work of art.

Guajira's designs are truly beautiful

OMG so great! I am a huge fan of hammocks, and of this one has sentimental value then it's even greater!

Thank you so much! I am also a fan of them

Oh! This is awesome! I can say that these type of hammocks are beyond awesome!

Yes! I love them

That's a fabulous gift. Reading is an amazing pastime and doing so outdoors beneath the sun is a massive win BUT it is an even more fabulous gift because the thing children don't realise but all adults know there is NEVER enough sleep in the world!

You know something I think I could sleep 25 hours a day sometimes!

Fabulous to see your cultural heritage displayed in this wonderful gift too :)

Hahahahaha, rocking in a hammock is also a lot of fun! What I love so much about this ethnic design is that not only does it remind me of my grandparents, but the colors are also very vivid and beautiful.

Absolutely! I live in England and most colours chosen for decoration are boring bland and neutral... Life is meant to be fun... Colours are FUN!

Anything that reminds us of those we love the most is indeed more precious than gold.

Enjoy the remainder of the weekend my friend :)

I have a lot of time without lying down in a hammock but just with watching this one makes me relaxed. Saludos desde Venezuela ;)

that is such a beautiful thing. wishing i was back home in the Philippines, under a tree. i miss living the life in the countryside.

What should I send? hmmm..maybe one of popular Filipino street food

38bc1a454ff61732ca8c69b430577fcf.0.jpg

"BALUT" its a fertilized developing duck or chicken egg embrayo best served warm hard-boiled eaten in shell. According to study balut has 188 calories, these might help boost your energy so that more and more work should be done everyday.

Ohhhhhh. Might be a NEW leader in the best gift category. Probably best send him plenty, as he has LOTS of friends!

Of course, I thought of that too, he is maybe a good guy with humour and other good quality expected he had a lots of friendship.

I'm sure I'd hypothetically throw up with so much energy I'd get rid of 4times that amount of calories. I'd hypothetically pass 😣

I gotta agree 100%

I will take mine scrambled please...

Haha.. try it ones or twice.some says its a kind of aprodisiac or a Filipino viagra.

I've heard about these eggs, saw them on a documentary about strange foods from other countries.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure if hypothetical Australian customs would let this hypothetical eggy snack into the hypothetical country. Their border measures are quite strict, even the hypothetical ones.

Still, the thought is there and I'm sure they have a unique taste.

Thanks for the hypothetical gift!

!ENGAGE 25

Well, i don't know about that, sorry you coudnt taste these.

Yes, it's a shame, but I'm having home made pizza tomorrow night so I'll have to make do with that.

I threw up in my mouth...

But I wretch over peas, mushrooms & tequila just to name a few

Posted using Dapplr

I can never unsee that... LOL.

Going through some of these older posts and this absolutely cracked me up LOL. Was this from the movie puppet master?

I watch a show called Border crossing Australia and those gatekeepers are hard-asses... I am sure on whether or not it would pass haha.

I love that OZ straight speaking style of calling a spade a spade but would not want to be on the receiving end at customs lol.

Haha, yeah they don't ness around at customs...They'd see some stuff too huh? I've seen a couple of those episodes, they have more patience than I would...That's for sure.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

I live thinking about food, hahaha it's always good to get a new dish to taste.

that dish looks very interesting and if you send it as a gift I know it is.

thank you for your participation!

Its my pleasure!

Is it just me OR are you always thinking about food bro??? :D

The strange thing is that as soon as I typed the word food I started thinking about pizza, that happens for 21 hours of each day haha.

It is true that I always think about food, but this time my hypothetical gift is below, it has to do with things of my lifestyle

Hold your horses Bro... I am making my way down the page 🤣

Ok so I am going to be very honest here and tell you that yes, I would try them but first I'll need a lot of moral support and courage😂 it's always so nice to know about the food of other countries!

Thank you for being true to your words, in expressing it in a nice way.

Haha I agree, moral support AND a lot of tequila too lol :D

I am certain there would be a lot of Filipino street dishes I would absolutely love. I love to sample local dishes wherever I go BUT if you sent me this and asked what I thought I would probably tell you it was delicious but I would not be able to eat it haha.

However it is certainly a very original answer, well done, have an amazing weekend :)

Oh my god, this is amazing! I'd totally try one! I am always open to trying out foods like these, I even ate an iguana once, hahaha.

Well, nice to know that you have that kind of courage of eating iguana.

I would send you one of each of my homemade goodies (jams, pickles, sauces, juices) if that would be possible, also some of my baking (cakes, cookies) 😁 I would also include a book about Transylvania, with photos and history.
There are so many things one could send.

That would be awesome! I feel so hypothetically spoiled by your hypothetical gifts! Although having said that, I could certainly put those goodies to very good use...Eating them all up of course! So they wouldn't get hypothetically wasted, that's for sure.

I'd like to say your gift only made me hypothetically hungry...But no, the hunger is real...For cakes and cookies.

!ENGAGE 25

Lol, you made me laugh. I'm going to tag you next time while posting my super delicious walnut chocolate cake 😁 made of home grown walnuts 😛

Don't tag me...Just hack me off a slice, put in a container and mail it! 😁

Big slice!

Would send you two or three, believe me but you live at the other side of the world, literally 😁

Yeah, it's a bit of a bummer...I miss out on cake. Might have to get Faith to make one, but she's a terrible cook. ☹️

😁 You would get addicted to my sweets and get fat in a month, so it's a good thing we're so far. look at the bright side of it.

Held up in customs (hypothetically) for 3 weeks... When you get it it will have grown hair (moldy)

Hair Lol.

Attack of the killer hairy tomatoes would make a good movie!

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

A very delicious gift, and they are sweets made by you are a nice touch. Regards.

Thank you! I know people like homemade food and sweets, you can never go wrong with those. Have a nice weekend.

It's a very thoughtful gift, but...

I'm thinking I'd have a problem with the one each limitation. How could I ever possibly give a rational critique with only one sample? Couldn't be done. I'm thinking more like 10 each...

Lol, you sound like my dad. He always says if he can get another slice he could tell if it's good or not as he can't decide after only one. More like 10 each ... I would have to rent a whole ship for that.

Well, it's theoretical, so I'll send the theoretical ship right to you!

He sounds like a very wise Dad! One is not the right amount to conduct a scientifically sound taste experiment :D

I am certain however that they taste amazing!!!

They do, I can guarantee that.

That is a very good, no, an excellent point!

I am writing a song called 'more cookies for all' I shall send you the lyrics later and we can sing it at @erikah together... I have a feeling that our collective singing will 'seal the deal' :D

Lol, that was funny 😁

Yup I do try and be funny... Sadly I always find myself waaaay funnier than anyone else in the room does!!!

😁😁😁

Well, here's the problem. I don't sing in front of anybody. Ever.

I could narrate the lyrics in my best Morgan Freeman voice...

Morgan Freeman huh?

You would have to promise not to make the voice too sexy!!!

I cannot afford another scandal... :D

Homemade food is probably the best one as the care anyone puts to grow and produce makes it much tastier compared to processed food.

I have to agree with you. We grow most of our vegetables and fruits, make juice, jam, sauce, pickles and whatever we can, so I know how it is. It's hard work but worth it for our health.

Cookies. There is nothing better then a good homemade cookie! Oh my heart.

Lol, well said! I need to make some soon, now that the heat is going away.

It's always good to try something new, and the sweets are always good.

You're right.

Cakes and cookies, huh?

I just learned something I am a better friend than Galen... You should send them to me instead haha

Oh Transylvania is the number ONE place I would love to go... I have always been obsessed with Dracula. I know there is so much more to the place than that BUT that is why it is top of my list lol :D

Looks like homemade sweets are always the winner.
And yes, usually when I say Transylvania, people think of Dracula. But as you said, there's so much to see here.

Yup! A popular choice all round. Hey I have an idea... What about Vampire cookies, when you bite them blood Jam squirts out?

Lol, I saw people make bleeding fingers cookies for Halloween but I've never done any. Maybe this year we can organise a challenge for Halloween 🎃

OMG! This MUST go in the post calendar, right now! Such a cool idea.

I demandzzz it!!! :D

Maybe there will be a contest before Halloween, let's see which community has the possibility to organize one. Good idea!

I would send a Buddha statue and a book (so many good ones to share).
I'm sure I could think of better after my morning coffee but whats better then internal peace and knowledge. :-)

Probably a really good choice. Two things @galenkp could always use more of :)

Half naked fat man statues and more books. That should go good with his past ripe customs detained maters and half hatched eggs. Lol. (i am just joking of course)

Posted using Dapplr

I imagine customs would find processing Galen's packages to be an incredibly interesting day haha :D

Ahahahahaha. At least he could carry the eggs in the back.

Heh! the book wouldn't reach Galen, I'll hijack the book somewhere along the route!

P.s. : Let me know which route your delivering agency uses ;)

Of I had the funds, I would send the whole world a book. Or at least the ones that want one. 😃

Excellent gift for the spirit and finding inner peace, personally I love reading and if they give me a book I get excited. Regards.

Books and socks are all I need for gifts... They cover my head down to my toes. 😁

Your hypothetical gift is most appreciated...Thank you. I'm sure the book will be welcome, and a little fat guy keeping an eye on proceedings over here would be also. Might bring me some luck.

Great gift idea, even in your no-coffee challenged state of being.

!ENGAGE 25

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Excellent idea, I also thought of a book, but you arrived first and I had to resort to plan "B", anyway, the statue would also be very interesting.

Great idea here, G-Dog has been known to read a book or 2 (Bookworm)

Posted using Dapplr

I heard a rumour that he was the official proofreader for the bible... But of course I couldn't possibly comment...

I'm old enough to be...

Well id send a few different type of things to you.

In a hypothetical universe where i possessed some arcanic magic I'd bottle good luck, good vibes and genuine thanks and send it to you. Hopefully it would bless and protect your life and your loved ones so youd live happy and free of stress and worry.

I'm also a great chef. I'd send you a few jars of my homemade pasta sauce that i make from scratch using fresh tomatoes. On the side I'd get some food thats not easily found in Australia like cuban food, or baby back southern bbq ribs and ship em over. But again it would be a hypothetical because god knows what the food would look like by the time it arrived. So I'd have to come up with something else. A more realistic aand fitting gift.

Part of the problem trying to come up with novel items to send to a bloke in australia is that australians got it pretty good. Despite the common american thinking that we have all this stuff that cant be found elsewhere its not really true. Aussies usually got that item too.

As far as unique. There are tags for your key fob that are cut from decommissioned aircraft. Not sure if you're into aircraft but you can get these tags made of anything from a WW2 b29 bomber to on the costly end part of the fuselage of a old SR71 spy plane. They're not big. They go on your key chain but theyre something you can look at everyday and be reminded of your friendship wherever you go. Sentimental gifts i think are the most valuable.

Personally if i had talent I'd make some sort of trinket in a similar manner that relays sentimental thought and value.

This is an interesting question and one i dont feel like ive fully answered to my satisfaction yet. I shall ponder. I'll think up something good. I feel like I'm missing something that just hasnt sprung to mind that would be perfect.

Fully under going the pre-requisite training and developing the skills neccesary to be a warlock aside, there's some cool ideas contained here. The first one would obviously make you the planet's first trillionaire and see you at the helm of an arcane company that supplies the world's most desirable product.

The decommissioned aircraft parts for a keytag is an awesome idea, just don't try and fit an entire fuselage on the one set of keys... That's NOT gonna end well logistically!

The homemade pasta sauce would be my winner from actual products available to be created in this realm I think. Produce created from scratch with care and creative flair is always a winner in my estimation!

I have four homemade pasta sauces that are heirloom recipes handed down from my abruzzasian side of the family.

Basic marinara.

Bolognese. I can make it regular or "Pink" which has ricotta in it.

A kids Bolognese that everyone likes it has bacon in it.

Arrabiata.

And a putanesca.

I would love to share those recipes. And how to make them from scratch.

But i agree. Bottled good will and vibes is what the world needs most. Everybody wishes they could spread just that around. If only there was a more practical way to spread that sort of thing. I guess treating everybody well and being supportive like we do here on Hive is the next best practical solution.

If that's the case, then guys like you are already a part of the solution.

If that's the case, then guys like you are already a part of the solution.

Haha now there is irony! I was thinking exactly the same thing about you.

Maybe then if I graciously accept the compliment ((which I am terrible at BTW haha)) the phrase should be 'guys like us!' I am surprised I have not crossed paths with you more along the way. I have noticed you in the comments section massively the last week or so and Discord too... Strange how that works sometimes.

Those sauces sound epic, I gotta say, I am limited these days due to being a vegetarian but I just know that a homemade extra hot arrabiata would absobloodylutely hit the spot!

I am very pleased to have met you and look forward to crossing paths many times as our Hive adventure unfolds man :)

Oh I forgot to say...

Everybody wishes they could spread just that around. If only there was a more practical way to spread that sort of thing.

You found it dude! You are doing it!!! Now if the rest of the world could just get onboard we would live in an amazing world, right?

Take good care my friend :)

Wow. I like the idea of the aircraft key fobs. That's really pretty cool. I got a good look at a friends project car yesterday and he doesn't just use key fobs, he uses the seats out of a B-17. Seriously.
B17 seat.jpg

This is just a teaser from a soon to be post!

Thats pretty sweet. I love anything aviation related. I look forward to reading the post. I'll keep an eye out for it.

I'll take the good luck as sent, not hypothetical as that's a sentiment and not a thing so, thank you. Things went ok at the hospital today if you're wondering. Not what we thought it may be so that's a relief. Tests continue.

Now on the food. I'm afraid I'll have to hypothetically enjoy that as you say...Although some nice traditional BBQ would be very welcome in real life! You're right, Aussies have it pretty good, but some ribs southern style...Yeah, I could do that! Today...Tomorrow pasta sauce. Lol.

Those key fob things sound pretty sweet. Although I think I'd want the entire B29...Not greedy, just serious about home security. Lol.

Faith actually got me an hour-long aerobatic flight in a WW2 fighter-trainer with a serving Aus air force fighter pilot for my 50th, down in Tassie. Was in March...Covid fucked it up. Rescheduled for Oct...Virgin just cancelled our flight to Tasmania. (They're in receivership).

The fighter pilot is GTG whenever we get there though so I won't lose that gift she gave me. He does dive bombing , strafing runs, dogfight manoeuvres etc. All with the canopy slid back...Should be good, when it happens. Does it on the coast of Hobart so the views are spectacular.

Anyway, your hypothetical gifts are very welcome. Food, a good way to keep the old G-dog happy!

!ENGAGE 25

Food keeps all of us happy! 😃. Too bad i cant literally ship pure good vibes and good will. As for the other news ill reach out to you privately in a sec.

As for the fighter flight that would be superb. Hoping Tassie opens up their boarders to you guys soon. I've always wanted to visit tassie. See hobart and maybe wineglass bay. It was on my list along with south new zealand for honeymoon destinations is a prior life. I'm still game for it but who knows.

As for virgin. Yeah they just got bought out by a american firm and can only afford to do domestic flights for the next few years. They got rocked hard by poor management decisions and covid. Virgin was alright though. I flew them brissie to port vila and i enjoyed the service.

I'm avid into aviation so I'll be envious of your ww2 flight. Know what type of fighter it was. Bring a go pro if he lets you.

You aussies got a good thing going with that f35, loyal wingman set up youre going for. I'm a little more privy to that stuff than the general public. You guys are very secure with them new birds in the arsenal.

I can't recall the fighter trainer...But I'll look up a post I did and link it in Discord. 11:30 here, almost time for bed.

Yeah, those F35's. Beasty. We have reasonable pilots too.

Virgin owe 5 billion. Bain Intl bought them. Hope that stand up. We always fly Virgin internally...Decent service. We love Singapore Airlines for international though.

I was a quantas lover when i flew international to Australia. I actually am friends with their senior mechanic and I'd call him before boarding and hed tell me all about the individual craft id be flying. As odds were he had just done service on her the week prior. I knew the history of each bird i flew in. They're personalities and quirks.

Ive heard nothing but fantastic things about Singapore air.

Qantas are good too, I just found their air crew stuck up. I prefer the more laid back hosties on VA. Yeah SA are fantastic. So polite and solicitous..

Maybe ill use them next time im around those parts. I just loved the unlimited tim tams quantas used to give me. And booze. But i was always on the red eye flights so i sleep half of the trip anyways.

A Good Luck bottle is probably the most original and cool of the presents

So what better reminder of a days diving in Panagsalma.IMG_0608 2.jpegOne of the things that Moalboal in the Philippines is famous for is the resident Sardine Run in Panagsalma where @scubahead runs a dive centre. The estimate is there are about 8milion of the pesky little fish. They make fantastic shapes and blot out the sun when you dive with them.

Well, what a thoughtful hypothetical gift you have sent! Sardines. I don't suppose the sardine pack will miss a few right? I mean there's eight million of them, well probably only seven million nine hundred and ninety nine thousand nine hundred and seventy five now...Considering that jar probably has twenty five in it.

!ENGAGE 25

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

That looks like a great present to taste!
I love having sardines with wine as a snack on the weekends.

Great adventure and great memories, it's also beautiful to give away memories.

I'm a huge fan of scuba diving! I would really love to visit Panagsalma, it looks awesome!

The diving is really good we were kept out of the water for a while with Covid but we have been back in for a little over a month. There are still no tourists so the sites are really quiet often just the one boat and a few divers.

Omg it's amazing that you are back on the water! Here the covid situation is still pretty tense....

Gag reflex again... I am a food pussy. Lmao

Posted using Dapplr

Dude sending you one of these as soon as the philippines will allow it. or i get it sent with somone going to UK and they can mail it . Want to see you posing in this fine attire.

220C4D57204E49E39E10512A3B40CA04.jpeg

Haha yeah, and I'm looking forward to it too! Don't worry, I'll wear it and post in it too!

I get a buzz out of this sort of thing which is why I jumped at the chance to send @hidave some stuff...It's just cool...Sure costs a little bit, but fun ain't cheap right?

yup agreed. Been chatting to @hidave also. He's defo engaged which is good. We've tried to send from this end the local post office is useless so Soon my instructor P Dog's missus heads UK. She will take it and mail it for me :)

He seems a legit dude...More legit when he gets my gift.

So crazy huh? They afraid the shirt will catch covid? I checked today and can send to USA...$36 for a small box under 1kg...Costly, but at least I can send it. The shirt will turn up and I'll throw it on with gratitude, and do a post in your honour. 😉

now that sir will make me smile :) Scubahead worldwide :)

World domination.

mwahahahahahahaa MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

also if I wasn't sending this I'd send you a Bionicle as I used to love building them with my boy when he was young and I know you love the lego bro
bio.jpg

If I wasn't me I'd want to be a Bionicle! Look at all those arms and edge weapons. No one would fuck with me! 😂

I never had a Bionicle but now I have a hypothetical one so thank you. A thoughtful and relavent gift. You're a gentleman. 🙂

they are awesome. Was so much fun making our own out of all the bits of different ones. Thats the beauty of lego

Lego is the most bestest (now a word) invention ever. Well, except for boobs. And coffee. And mini skirts.

I'll go along with all of that. lego was my thing growing up. Before they had real star wats kits I was building what in my imagination was the millenium falcon but to anyone else was a bunch of bricks. But it allowed you to fire and feed your imagination. Much like boobs do ;)

It would certainly be better to be one of those, then to face off against one. :)

I'd be invincible if I was a Bionicle. I mean so much so governments would employ me to fight their enemies...Bionicle for hire!

This one is for sure one of my favorites! It is super cool! I have always liked building lego with my kids, maybe I enjoyed it a little bit too much compared to them hahahahahaha! Awesome Bionicle!

yeah when I was playing with my son and his bionicles i was kinda re living my childhood as I think i thought they were cooler than he did

That's right! I think sometimes we enjoy that nostalgic feeling we get when playing with our kids hahaha

for real. And Lego , bionicles etc just amazing for the imagination

This is great!!! Oh and I can almost feel the pain on my feet after stepping on a Lego 😂 super awesome Bionicle btw!

ahh yes thats the worst pain ever. Little terrorist sabotage device

Uh oh. I'm sitting here thinking of what to send and now I am extremely jealous.

Maybe some petrified tortoise poop or something.

one mans tortoise poop is another mans treasure...or something hahaha

It's a fine line indeed. Paleontologists spend their whole careers looking for Petrified Tortoise Poop, not to mention 20 years in school.

Me? I can take it or leave it.

nahhh you know you love it. You love the tortoise poop

You know the best thing for Petrified Tortoise Poop? When I have to go to dinner with my dickhead brother in law I slip a couple in his rice.

When he crunches I know I've scored. Sweet revenge will prevail!

haha love your style. Brilliant! Revenge is a dish best served tortoise poop

How beautiful, and with the name of your country, I love it and it seems like an excellent gift.

name of the country i'm living in but not my country ;)

It is a pretty badass shirt. Seen you wear it in your posts. Lenny would be proud if he saw it. It's crazy how expensive shipping stuff to other countries is. I've been sending some vintage car parts for a friends model T ford he's refurbishing up in Queensland. Its wacky where they send the box before it gets to its location. It went from south Carolina the opposite direction to miami florida. Then to san Francisco. Then to sydney. Then to Brisbane. I still cant figure out what the point of sending it to miami first was.

yup the volume would increase massively if it were more affordable. Surely someone somewhere realises this and just goes no, fuck the little guy

Yeah. Id want to blame it on coronavirus but i remember it being expensive years before too. Everyone wants to make stupid high profit margins at the expense of the little guy. Very distopian.

I like dark clothes, and that flannel looks very stylish. Anywhere in the world I would pose it, I also like the toy looks like a mini Transformer. Good gift.

I love this kind of shirts! I have a collection of my own from different places I've had the joy to visit. With a lot of luck and this awesome reference maybe I'll be able to add one like this to my collection!

Better send him a XXX as He will be eating a shit ton of hypothetical treats. Ranging from expired post ripe maters to fetal formed half hatched eggs. Sweet homemade cookies. All smeared heavily with the taste of downunder...

Vegemite.!!

Awesome... Bloody awesome Scubadude!

thanks man. I love it. I have this design on everything from beer koozies to scuba mask straps and now face scarves. It was one of my more inspired moments

We gotta capitalise on those flashes of inspiration, right?

I have learned recently that sometimes there's a whole host of tumbleweeds roll by in between them haha.

Take great care, enjoy the rest of your weekend man :)

lonesome empty dive shop day today. Just me billy no scuba mates. haha day off for all but i need to be on premises

There are several traditional meals and gadgets in every area of the world. There is one I feel proud of, here in Catalonia, which is the human castles. I've written about them here a couple of times as their image has been used by many to explain how group work can lead to much higher results than individual work. So special for you I would send one of these wood human tower toys 😃

image.png

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

That wooden model would be cool, but I can't help thinking of the real thing.

They'd put me bottom middle because of my size and manly strength. When the whole thing goes sideways (literally) I'd get squashed. Not such a pleasant prospect.

It requires a lot of practice and of course teamwork.

These are the same people that run in front of the wild, crazy bulls, right? Human life doesn't mean much to them, I'm thinking.

So that big tough guy bottom middle is expendable. "Next volunteer."

(I hope you know I'm kidding. I'd love to run the bulls-on somebody else's legs.)

Not at all. Completely different areas of the country but I agree you gotta be a little crazy ,😂

Posted using Dapplr

I'm a little crazy, you can ask anyone that knows me. But in my advanced age I draw the line at potential bodily injury or even death. Just sayin'

I watched a documentary on those people-towers a month ago...Pretty interesting and probably dangerous!

So, if I was to receive this wooden block version in the mail from you I would be very pleased and grateful!

Such a thoughtful hypothetical gift @santigs! Thanks!

😂

!ENGAGE 25

Now that I think of, I wonder if Lego has ever produced a figure resembling one of this "castellers" 😂

They should...Maybe I'll freestyle one!

Uhhhmmm...? We have cats G-Dog.

The tower would be a train wreck... Cats would love it tho

Lol...And there goes hours of effort.

I had not heard of human castles, a very nice and original gift. Regards.

The castells! They are mesmerizing, when I traveled to Tarragona I had the luck to watch the human castells, and I must say I was beyond impressed, the kids that go at the top really made me drop my jaw! It takes a lot of effort and team work! Here is a picture I took of one of the castells they made right there on the street!

A toy referring to a tradition of your region, that is very unique, and that you decide to share it speaks of your traditions.
This activity is seen as something very interesting.

This is one of the most appreciated sweets in Venezuela, and the world. The Pirulin is a delicious mini rolled wafer filled with 100% Venezuelan chocolate. It has a cylindrical shape and measures approximately 7 cm long and 1 cm in diameter. It comes in different presentations, from small packages of 3 units, to big cans of 300 gr, there even is one filled with coconut cream! The one I would send you is a Special Edition box that contains two packages (the silver one) filled with 60 grams of pirulins!
I hope you are a chocolate fan!Hello friend @galenkp, from Caracas the capital of Venezuela🇻🇪, to pamper your palate, I would send you as a gift, "Mmmmm" some crunchy rolled wafers filled with authentic Venezuelan cocoa and hazelnut.

SAVE_20200829_011003.jpg

Clearly you have me worked out and know that the way to my heart is through my stomach. Pirulin seems to have done the trick, even hypothetical Pirulin!

Now, I know I'm married and all, but if I wasn't...Well, add in some coffee with that Pirulin and a marriage proposal might be forthcoming. Yeah, food seems to press the right buttons for the G-dog. Lol.

I'l tell you what, if all of these hypothetical things people are sending actually got sent to me I think I'd be the luckiest man in Australia right now. It's been a cool little topic so far. Thanks for joining in.

!ENGAGE 25

Jajajaja the magic of Internet! I really enjoy sharing my favorite things, yes even hypothetically, with the nicest people there is!
I must say that the way to my heart is also through my stomach sooo... Jajajaja another really good thing here is coffee, and pirulin with coffee tastes reaaaally good!! I'm sure that you'll have the opportunity to taste it yourself!
Have a nice one! Xoxo

Maybe I'll make it there some day, we can drink coffee, eat pirulin and tel stories about our exploits!

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Excellent gift, guao los pirulin one of the best sweets in the world, happy the one that can prove those delicious exquisiteness🍫

I love pirulins! I miss them so much, I think I'll buy them as soon as I can! Send me some, hahaha

BEST gift ever!!!!

IMG_20200829_002629.jpg

Hello! From the moment I saw this post I immediately thought that I would like to send you a very nice bottle of one of the finest Venezuelan rums: Santa Teresa 1796. It's one of my favorite national rums, it is aged for up to 35 years in bourbon oak barrels and then further aged through the artisanal Solera method, resulting in a dry, smooth and balanced rum. Santa Teresa is one of the biggest rum companies in the country, and I must say that their product is very good. I think you would really enjoy trying this rum (hoping you like rum hahaha) and share it with friends and family!

IMG-20200829-WA0004.jpg

Holy crap on a cracker! That's exactly what I need! Sometimes we don't know what we need until we see it. :)

I will take this hypothetical gift and enjoy it with my closest friends and family, drink a toast to the legit dude who sent it, that's you, and cherish and savour it. (If only it was real and not hypothetical).

This is a hypothetical gift to treasure and I am humbled by your hypothetical generosity. If you get tempted to actually send it my address is:

G-dog
1796 I love rum Street
South Australia
Australia 5000

!ENGAGE 25

Hahahaha! If it wasn't so hard to send it to you, I would definitely do but, I have a good idea... When I (eventually) go to Australia, I'll take it with me and we can share a drink! I think it that would be superb!
It's good to hear that you have good taste and love rum! Hahahaha
Best regards!

Deal...If you're ever over my way we will lift a glass or two!

I will take a shot of that Most Awesomest Gift EVER.!

Mix it with whatever you got. Rum goes with almost anything!
But please. No...

BALUT.!!!

Posted using Dapplr

Lol...Yeah, rum and balut wouldn't work so well I think.

Hahahaha! Maybe the ones that like balut would enjoy the combination 😂

Rum is my favorite alcohol drink. I am familiar with the popular ones as Bacardi (named out of a Catalan family), Cacique, Habana Club, Brugal, and the Spanish brands. Not sure if I've ever tried a Venezuelan brand but I am willing to try it so it looks I will have to look for a retailer here in Spain.

Oh! I think you've already tried a Venezuelan rum, the Cacique! It's named after the Cacique, the head of the tribe of indigenous people! The one I posted is more aged than the Cacique but I also like the Cacique 500 a lot! I think there are few places in Spain where you can find some Venezuelan rums!

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

wow, that is a great gift, packaged beautifully. It looks so expensive. I am sure it tastes real good being aged so well.

Oh now that's a quality gift if ever I saw one!!!

Although it may, after a whole bottle, turn him in to Catptain Galen Sparrow, scourge of the seven seas!

What a good hypothetical gift, exactly in Venezuela is one of the largest companies of liquor and with very good quality.
This is the best gift I saw, because I know I can share it with my people. 🥃🥃

It's been so long since I've last have it! This is the best rum in Venezuela!

I'm going to be on the lookout for that one. I wonder if you can get in the UK? There is no chance here in the Philippines everyone drinks Tanduay its local drinkable and less than $4 a bottle

I'm Canadian...and we have a delicacy here that @bigtom13 just LOVES! (I'll wait for his reaction .....) and so therefore, I'd send you some of that French cuisine delicacy called Poutine...it's fries and cheese curds (no other cheese can be used or it's not real!), smothered in gravy to melt the cheese.

I'd like to add that it's nearly impossibly to find a picture that does this amazing dish justice because...well...

image.png

...I have no idea if you've been to Canada but if you haven't and ever get to come here, you have to try this. In the absence of that happening, if I could get this to you, I would do it in heartbeat. And I'd send some to Tom just because I know he'd love it....

Disclaimer - Don't actually send this to Tom...he'll never speak to you again. :D

Oh yeah, poutine is tasty!

Take me to Canada ASAP 😂 huge french fries 🍟 fan over here!

Oh yeah, I'm had this actually, a friend of mine, now moved interstate was Canadian and she made it. It was bloody awesome.

As it turns out the little item I'm sending to @hidave is actually something that relates to hot chips. We don't call them fries here. I'll do a post on it in the next day or so.

Yeah, you can hypothetically send these bad boys to me anytime...I'll hypothetically enjoy them!

we'll be making it to Canada and poutine is all I'm going to eat. (not really)

Thanks for joining in, your first time I think. Much appreciated.

!ENGAGE 25

Murder most foul. These people (and I mean all these people) take perfectly good french fries (almost certainly made with good old AMERICAN potatoes) and despoil it like the Vikings despoiled the citizenry in England (and maybe particularly in Scotland @meesterboom)(did you think the red hair came from France?) with partially cured cheese and gravy. 2 out of 3 of the ingredients are really good when served properly...

Do you know the Canadians also screw with Doritos? It's TRUE. They grind up little teeny pieces of ice skate blades and broom bristles from Curling and call it Canadian Ranch or some such. True story!

Lol. We assimilated the Viking hordes add there was virtually no difference between us. The poor southerners though. They got pumped :0D

And poutine is smashing, is quite trendy here just now!

Has the whole world gone daft? Do you not know what cheese curds are? UNFINISHED cheese. Really.

Who was the person that first at cheese curds? It's like the first one to eat an egg. "Oh look Margret! This just fell from a chicken's butt. I wonder how it tastes?

Lol...As funny as your comment is and the thought of Boomy getting owned by a Viking called Halvard may be...I'm sorry but I'm going to have to sway on the side of @jangle and say poutine is legit. I had it once and want to have it again...And again. I'm going to enjoy my hypothetical poutine jangle has offered with gratitude...Although, we call them chips, not fries generally.

This has truly damaged my heart. Here I thought of Australia as a vast unspoiled place. Now I find that you are forever polluted too. Makes me sad.

Maybe the vast has something to do with it. Canada is vast, too. Maybe there is no such vast and unspoiled left any more. Makes me wonder if there is any unspoiled? Is there a remote Island in Micronesia that hasn't suffered poutine? Oh, the humanity of it all...

Vast could be attributed to many of the worlds problems I suppose. Vast doesn't seem to keep to itself, if just meddles doesn't it, niggling away at things, ruining chips all over the world. Damn you vast.

I'll be honest though, poutine isn't a thing here...My friend made it and until then I had no fucking clue what it was. However it's like crack, one hit and you're an addict. It's the same with vast, relentless once it gets it's claws into you.

Well I'm safe then. No hits=no addiction.

The vast problem remains. Canada is so vast they don't really know where it ends on the north. It might go on all the way to Borneo or someplace.

Canada wants to take over the world and make their vast way vaster. Greedy.

So funny about what you call them...I suppose us french think the world revolves around us because we actually call them french fries haha

Well, to be honest we do have french fries here, the really thinly cut ones...McDonalds sell them...But most people just call them chips. It's an English thing...And we all know the history between France and England...Let's not start a new war huh? Lol.

haha ...fair enough! Although I'd probably be really torn in that war since I don't speak a word of french! well..maybe a few words ....

Swear words probably. Lol.

We love France...Been a few times and speak some phrases, enough to get by. We just love to travel and see new things, learn stuff. France is nice and one of our favourites. We've not been to Canada but want to go there someday, spend a month or so. I had an uncle who lived in Toronto actually. Never went to visit though...Looking back now I guess I should have.

Ahem...it's called Cool Ranch and it's one of my favorite Dorito. The first favorite being ketchup dorito! :D hahahahahaha pretty cool, eh?

I've heard that Ketchup Doritos work really good as a fire starter in a pinch. Like if Bear Griz drops in and you are embarrassed to use a torch or something.

Actually. That little bit is true. We tried it once on a motorcycle camping expedition and they really burn well :)

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Chips n gravy sounds good to me. I bet he'd like it. Aussie's love chips n gravy. I used to see people lined up in the mornings at the local carvery to eat chips n gravy. For those that think its sacrilege. Try it! Its good

I think I'd send you a "Martenitsa" — that's a traditional charm of wool threads painted in white and red and intertwined in various designs. They come out in March. We exchange them as gifts. They are about health and wellbeing.

Disclaimer: Once per 2020 years they seem to not work properly. Maybe this time the fact that our local market is recently swarmed by imported from Guesswhere "traditionally Balkan" charms, wrapped in nylon, has something to do with the inflation and loss of miraculous qualities of the charms...

Anyway, it's one of the easiest things to express one's DIY attitude so mine are usually hand-made. No plastics.

Oh, I'd also try to pick a nice local stamp ;)

I'll take that hypothetical Martenitsa and wait for the health and well-being roll in and improve my life!

Like this?

medium_martenitsa.jpg

So, your local markets are also inundated with cheap rubbish from I know where and it seems also you are not happy about that. Same here mate...The tidal wave need to be repelled somehow, but with governments seeking revenue it seems the tide of change will keep rolling...Anyway, words for a different post.

I'll be very grateful to receive your health and well-being charm and even though it's hypothetical I'm sure it will have some affect. My wife Faith could certainly use one right about now too.

Thanks for joining in, it is very much appreciated.

!ENGAGE 25

Ah, these characters! Yes, that's a popular version. With a greater chance at being actually local. I previously envisioned simple strings, worn around the wrist.

Be well, both of you :)

Thanks mate, and you take care also...Saturday night here, just about to sit down and write a post about my pizza making plans for tonight. Home made pizza always assists my well-being. :)

Oh, I learned how to make one, I confirmed I could do it after a few months...and that was about it. I don't think I posted about it. But I did post about the homemade ketchup and about Bitcoin Pizza Day.

Pizza is a great Tech. I'm so grateful the TMNT revealed it to me.

Lol...TMNT...They certainly put pizza on the map huh? Thanks ninja turtles!

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

I just googled them and they are so cute! I'd love to have them. Hahahaha, this year has been so wild, but I am thankful that at least me and my family are healthy.

I will send you proudly South African very delicious snacks, called Biltong (dried meat) and droe wors (dried sausage)

51x-7C0zPHL._AC_SY400_.jpg

And then a Vuvuzela, an instrument you can blow on during sports events. Also claimed to be proudly South African. It makes one helluva noise. You can blow it during any celebrations.
gettyimages-101977835.jpg

Traditionally made and inspired from a kudu horn, the vuvuzela was used to summon distant villagers to attend community gatherings.[5][dubious – discuss] The vuvuzela is commonly used at football matches in South Africa,[6] and it has become a symbol of South African football as the stadiums are filled with its sound.[5] The intensity of the sound caught the attention of the global football community during the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup in anticipation of South Africa hosting the 2010 FIFA World Cup.[5]
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vuvuzela

Have a great weekend!@galenkp thank you for the weekend engagement.

We'd call that pepperoni stick (the sausage) and jerky. And I'm salivating like Pavlov's dog just thinking about them! My brothers and I have all made (or do make) both.

I hate the horn. Seems like every ball game I go to there is some kid with one of those right behind me. Maybe I'm just cursed.

So every culture has their own way of making it and I am sure its own unique taste.
I am sorry you hate the Vuvuzela, lol you are not cursed. 😂

I'm a huge fan of biltong so I'll gladly accept your hypothetical gift! I haven't tried droe wors but have had some delicious encounters with boerewors which ended badly for the boerewors but well for my taste buds!

The vuvuzela will also come in very useful...You see, sometimes I have the urge to wake up my neighbours at 5am when I go for a walk some mornings...I can never seem to make enough noise. With a vuvuzela I think my neighbours will really come to value the 5am wake up call and thank me for alerting them that the day has started.

!ENGAGE 25

I thought with so many South Africans in Australia, that you might know Biltong and and droëwors, and now I hear also boerewors. Glad you enjoy that.
Hahaha, it's so funny that you will use it for the neighbours. I can picture this .....neighbours: wtf????? kill that terrible noise!!!, running to the window. It's that crazyyyy guy next door!!!!! 😂🤣😂

I have some SA friends so maybe I should get them to bring their vuvuzela's over and help wake up my neighbours? Lol.

Hehehe, I feel sorry for the neighbours.

Don't be sorry for them...I'm doing them a favour, helping them wake up and seize the day! 😂

👍🙂

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

I must admit that I can hear this picture! Hahaha my kids had a vuvuzela and used to drive me crazy with it! Hahaha It takes me to the good old days!

Lol, so you are familiar with the noise. Not really a nice sound. Thank you for commenting. 🙂

Lol, so you are familiar with the noise. Not really a nice sound. Thank you for commenting. 🙂

Yes! Here in Venezuela many people have one (for my not luck) hahahaha

I would hypotheitcally sent you this week's collection of burnt chinese light bulbs.
Just to show you how much I appreciate you. This is an exclusive collection of exceptional items whose set up and uninstalling can be life-threatening. I want to clarify that the "cold light bulb" affair was an isolated incident and that given the frequency these damn things explode in our homes we have plenty of practice replacing them.
What makes this collection doubly special is that these ones came out in one piece. Usually the lamp hold connection, or butt as we call them here, gets stuck in the socket and you have to use some pliers to extract the damn thing. Thank you mother china. Maybe you can persuade some Australian investors to take over the bulb market and please gives some good stuff; this, assuming that hypothetically we some day get rid of our oppressors.

IMG_20200828_092050.jpg

I would hypotheitcally send you this week's collection of burnt Chinese light bulbs.

Could a man want for anything else? I hardly think so...Best hypothetical light-bulb gift I've ever been sent - I mean that seriously, the best one.

Ah yes, you've been afflicted with bulb/butt separation before...It's a tragic and much-maligned result of these items having come from China...Like covid really.

I'd like to see an Aussie corner the lucrative bulb-market but alas it's impossible...You know why?

Q How many Aussies does it take to change a light bulb?
A More than one.

And there you have it, that's why we'll never take over the market.

Great comment, so thanks for joining in. That's for the burned-out bulb selection, I always wanted one of those.

!ENGAGE 25

LOL! Didn't know that about Aussies. I am deeply disappointed. Of course, all my intelligence about Aussie culture comes from Crocodile Dundee, but after the Olympics and all that I thought you were ready to take over the world.

Lol...Croc Dundee is the dumbest of them all!

We're actually a rather innovative and creative bunch...Did you know we made up WIFI? True story. We won't be taking over the world anytime soon though...Would rather have a BBQ and a beer in the back yard.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Now there is a gift a man could get behind! That's great.

regalo.jpeg

Hello committed friends, every week this challenge becomes more enjoyable and the commitment is transformed into fun. I know that if you send something it is with the intention that someone will enjoy and appreciate it. In this case, I will send you a kit for the terrain, because I have seen of your tastes in several publications and I share some of your hobbies. The experiences of the adventures and polygons are more pleasant and educational when you prepare yourself for the best experience.

If I'm going to send something so far it can't be just one thing, in this kit I sent you some goggles to balance batons and cones in your eyes and get accurate shots, they also protect you from the sun, (not to be used in night polygon). A camelback (hydration bag) for you to enjoy the vital liquid with comfort, you can use it in meetings to keep your favorite drink. And finally, a simple compass that marks 360 directions and helps you not to get lost wherever you are, basic but very useful.

The best of success and I hope you're well.

That is great gifts @rafaelgreen. I'm sure he is going to love it.

I know that yes, it is always good to demonstrate the intention.
Greetings 🎖️

My only problem with this gift is that it's hypothetical and not actually getting sent! Lol.

Cool hypothetical gift mate, all will get used a lot, hypothetically!

It's thoughtful, takes into consideration my hobbies and interests and will allow me to enjoy them more thoroughly.

Thanks for taking part a gain and for the nice words you said about the #weekend-engagement. I realy appreciate it.

!ENGAGE 25

Soon when there grown more on the platform and generate good income will not be so hypothetical, I know it will!

I took the liberty to talk a little about commitment in my publications and I wanted to ask your permission to talk a little about commitment in one of my publications and invite more people to your weekend commitment.

Hey mate, of course you can mention the #weekend-engagement and engagement commitment in a post. It's a topic I like people to spread around.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Wow. What a great gift selection! I'm feeling like a little bit of a piker with my shirt buttons. Oh well...

What matters is the intention!

Awesome gift dude!

Would suit the G-dog down to the ground. I am certain he would be far better than me at managing a compass too, when I first joined the army I was sent out on exercise with a map and compass and travelled 2 miles in the wrong direction... In case you were unaware North and South are different!!! :D

I didn't know you were in the army. What a good colleague 👍, always good to read you.
As I mentioned before when I have more income I will send you something.

I have a great idea if you would love to send me something... Two things in fact!

They are two of my favourite things in the entire world...

Good wishes and friendship. I hear that it doesn't cost much to ship them around the world too!

Stay awesome Bro, extremely happy that Anita decided to adopt you here and that we were able to meet... That was an awesome day. :D

It's not hard to send, but they are valuable, I think this is the best gift you can give.
Well I try to give the best of me, and I know the users will like it.

Thank you very much my friend, always up to the task.

So I just spent 20 minutes writing the perfect send me the hive comment and HIVE BLOG SWALLOWED IT WHOLE. There is zero chance that I hit the damn cancel button because I so rarely make an error. Is there any chance you send me the hive anyway?

For the record, I'm writing my comment in PeakD this time because they don't have that stupid cancel button right next to the post button. Not that that is what I did, you understand, it's just coincidence.

You know? I'm really only good for one real clever comment per day and you already didn't get it. Dirty dog damn, a wasted opportunity. It's not fair!

So my comment mentioned a whole bunch of stuff that I considered sending you. First consideration was the two halves of the spider I split hip from thigh but I realized that by the time it got to you it would be nothing but spidey powder. Though it was a big fierce spider there probably wouldn't be any usable quantity by the time it got there.

So I decided I'd send you a set of buttons for your shirt. Not just any buttons, but genuine Navajo Dime buttons. Back in the day the Navajo would take a US dime and put a dome in it, weld a silver ring to the back and wear them on their fanciest shirt. Then they found they could sell them, and they did. Life is tough on the Navajo res. Anyway, I'd send you a set of buttons like this:

image.png

Now can you send the hive?

Normally when I make long comments I back them up with an app to save information, I advise you to back up yours so that no altercations happen to you, however, your comment is great, bringing something unique that anyone who receives it would like very much.

By the way I had not had the opportunity to thank you for your constant support and that you always leave me a good opinion.

It is always good to see you at Hive and I hope you are always well.

Oh, you have no idea. Yesterday I wrote and entire post in the comment section :) I did copy/paste it into an editor before I lost that one!

I'm always glad to see you, also. I always support good content!

Boom.!! Thaaazzz what I am talkin' bout.!

Posted using Dapplr

Sorry you lost your comment, it happens to the best of us.

So, that set of Navajo buttons would come in handy because I have a shirt that loses buttons all the time...Just one fucking shirt.

Every time I put that bastard on there's a button missing. I shit you not. It's a business shirt, for work, and it's annoying. Last week I wore it anyway but put a sweater on over the top to hide the fact it had a lost button.

I can't confirm it but I think Faith is fucking with me, cutting a bottom off to mess with my mind.

She comes in and I'm sewing another button on...Next week, button missing. The fucking thing is possessed I think, or my wife is playing mind games with me.

So...A hypothetical gift of Navajo buttons would be welcome. They might break the mystery of the missing button shirt.

!ENGAGE 25

Oh. The dreaded button gremlin.

Did you ever consider the fact that it might be you that is possessed? I mean why would a serviceable gremlin ever bother with a mundane old shirt?

On the other hand, it could be Faith. I know you THINK she forgets about you snuffing up all her favorite cashew nuts, but does she really? She'd have opportunity and motive for a fact. TV detectives have sent people to the needle on less evidence.

The dime buttons might let you make the decision, sure enough.

I need hidden camera's in my dressing room! I bet you I'll see herein there cutting the button off giggling like an evil genius. Pay back for eating all the cashews you think?

I'd certainly suggest that the cashews could be the cause. She was way too calm in your phone exchange... Leads me to believe that she KNOWS there is payback right around the corner.

I'll bet she cuts them off before the laundry so there are no telltale bits of thread left when she's done. Ohhhhh That's evil.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

I have had some of my most witty shit get flushed down the memory hole.

Seems to be a phone app glitch. I now get halfway and copy to clipboard. It saved my arse last night on this very engagements post. So far the Daplr app is working best for me.

This is what I would like to do when it crashes my post.

I am going to send you a huge amount of legos and want you to build Cleo a hut to hide in or a tree to climb! This would have to be a free hand build so we can see your creativeness! But you can't share them with Grouchy for he would build something devious.

Posted using Dapplr

Ok I need to go eat something because I just confused this with jelly beans

I see where you are coming from! ;-)

Posted using Dapplr

Hey Pooky, I'm sorry, I must have missed this one!

Lego...I'm surprised only one person mentioned it...Although I must admit, at first glance these looks like Gummy Bears...Also a legit thing to send me!

!ENGAGE 40

I will send both!

Posted using Dapplr

Good plan that covers all bases. I concur.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Well the way to a mans heart is through his stomach iv'e been told, so with your Cornish roots and penchant for pasties, iv'e loaded a shipping container with these.

When I say these I mean the "yokel" and his giant pasty, not dozens of pasties you greedy bugger.

By all accounts Jethro is a great conversationalist once he's downed a couple of flagons of scrumpy so i'll send some along with him.

image.png

Ah yes, such an awesome hypothetical gift! Cornish pasty, scrumpy and Jethro the Cornish pasty/scrumpy brand ambassador.

I feel many a night will be spent sipping some scrumpy, conversing with Jethro and getting through that massive pasty!

!ENGAGE 25

Nothing more Jethro likes than to guzzle some of the rough apple juice and yap on about his exploits with the fair Cornish maidens. He was a bit of a ladies man in his day.

I'm sure he set hearts to fluttering...

He sure does, the internet has been shocking at my home hence slow communication. It's taking me hours to send the simplest of messages.

My internet has been a bit dodgy of late, clearly different to your issues...Or, a world wide consipricy?

I gave up, 2 hours to send a comment is ridiculous. Need to get something sorted it's driving me mad.

Hey! A little bit late, but I couldn't resist to participate and read what every one is going to (hypothetically) send you!

Well, as our parents used to do, I’d send you a postcard! However, it is not one written by me. Going through some photo albums, my sister and I stumbled upon one a little thinner than the rest. To our surprise, it did not contain family photographs like the rest: there were postcards organized in it, and the anecdotes they contain are not from my parents or grandparents. They are from people we do not know. Travel anecdotes, forgotten wallets, even lost trains in cities with unknown languages! Meeting these people through their travel anecdotes told to a sister, uncle or grandmother, has entertained me a lot these days. Maybe it would entertain you too.

This is a pretty cool thing...I think looking as t the world through other people's eyes us interesting and one can gain new perspectives or insights through doing so. What a thoughtful hypothetical gift you have sent!

!ENGAGE 25

Thanks! I think the same thing, reading them gave me the same feeling as watching a movie!

I'm pleased you can back for a look and took some time to read some of the other entries.

I would send a traditional blouse we have here in Romania called ie.

images.jpeg

It looks even better on women too

images (1).jpeg

ie-traditionala-autentica-unicat-irene.jpg

I think you and Faith would look awesomely cute in these

I love iiit, I would totally get a blouse like that one!

Awesome! It's quite lovely looking and it's a symbol for our country Romania

I'm in LOVE with this blouse!!! It's gorgeous!

Hey! Great! I think it looks lovely for the girls!

It's very lovely @creativemary. A lovely gift for him and his wife.

I'm glad that you like it!

I'd rock that blouse to the gun range...Ah yes, I can imagine the blouse-envy it would inspire when I saunter in rockin' it like a modern day Vlad the Impaler...The envy, the sweet sweet envy it would invoke.

Such a nice hypothetical gift you have offered, I will hypothetically wear it with pride.

!ENGAGE 25

Yeah, I'm sure. On the gun range. I have a visual and it's pretty funny, actually.

Holstered up, just about to walk onto the range to begin a stage...Shrug off my tactical jacket and...Romanian blouse underneath! Imagine the jealousy from my mates!

You would totally rock the Romanian outfit!

Lol, me and Romanian garb...Match made in heaven.

Ohhhh I didn't thought about that, what an awesome idea! 💪💪

Sometimes one needs to throw on some awesome Romanian apparel and rock it and accept the compliments.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Oh I would definitely send you a postcard with a picture of the cheetah that are going to race on it.
Or a painting of the cheetah, but I cannot paint so it will have to be a welcoming cheetah postcard lol.
Running at a full 75kmh speed of course~!

Oh yeah, I was hoping you'd drop in and comment...And with such a relevant hypothetical gift too...That damned cheetah that thinks he can dominate the G-dog. I tell you what, that old-boy doesn't stand a chance. Even with five Go-Pro's strapped to strategic locations of my body to capture the race in 1080P detail I can still run faster than that cheetah. He better be practising because the G-dog ain't taking prisoners.

!ENGAGE 25

Wow! A "relevant hypothetical gift" and all. I have never in my long life given anyone a "relevant hypothetical gift" before. Even struggle to spell the word.
You have certainly not wasted your school teacher's time and you deserve another medal.

I think that the idea of the postcard was planted in my mind by that cheetah's manager, as they are trying to instigate psychological warfare in an attempt to unnerve the G-dog hahaha.
Maybe they have watched the politicians in action lol.

Yeah PsyOps is a particularly effective method of rattling the enemy, putting them off their game...Works well, plants the seed of doubt in people's minds...But for me? Nah, doesn't work...No brain and all...

Hahaha, bulletproof G-dog with no space for any insecurities.
Definitely sounds like the modern day hero to me and the cheetah crew are going to get a huge surprise lol.

They have a challlenge on their hands for sure.

Oh yeah, that they do 🤣

Gotta run to the shops as waited for a break in the rain.

See ya later and be good.

Love this gift @papilloncharity !!!

Big Cat be sayin'...

"Uh uh G-Dog.. Not gonna happen."

Now lets review shall we...

  1. Your 100 kg heavier from all the hypothetical yum yums...
  2. Your wearing a mankini...
  3. Drunk on top shelf rum...
  4. Customs would like you to come by and answer a few questions (Hypothetically of course)

It would look something like this mee thinks... LoL

Posted using Dapplr

If I look at the end it seems that the cheetah wins it by a short head 😘
That is if (hypothetically) the rum soaked dude in the mankini will get past customs 👮Hahaha, what an excellent gif @krazytrukker 🤣

Doesn't matter what it looks like, a win is a win.

Just because I know you love them so much, I'm nominating to send you a durian; a really, very big durian. Plus, being very heavy, you might pick up the beautifully wrapped box and think, "gee, Zack's really done it well this time". I'm even going to wrap it inside of a double-layer box to mask the odour, so it won't seep out until you take the top off.

Once you've done that, that durian smell will sink into the very fibre of your mortal being, as it reeks across your entire house. It stinks, and it's honestly easier to just demolish the house at this point. Also, its pricklyness - that's a word now - will punch more holes in your hand than a sieve. I'm evil, and I know it 😈

Hopefully that's made you laugh 😁. If not, then I guess I could just come over and drop a durian on your head. In Malaysia, that's an acceptable way to end one's misery... being durianed to death.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Ah yes, I was hoping for one of these smelly rank fuckers to get hypothetically sent! Who better to send one than the only person in Malaysia who doesn't like them, Zack Ernie Norman.

The only thing that would have made this better is if it was indeed dropped on my head, broke open and coated my noggin with the foul smelling contents for evermore.

!ENGAGE 25

Wait... How did you guess my middle name!? Nevermind that though, you can trust me when I say that we've used durians as a killing machine before. I'm part of a vigilante group that hunts down baddies on the streets. Since gun ownership is strict, and melee weapons like clubs and machetes are sooooo last season, we use durians instead. Absolutely lethal.

Well, we agreed that you'd be Ernie and I'd be Bert remember? How soon you discard your identity without even a by your leave!

George Lucas missed a huge opportunity by not having durian walkers in Star Wars.

Well, we agreed that you'd be Ernie and I'd be Bert remember?

Lol, I thought you could just play along 😆. Also, I keep on mixing those two together, as it has been many centuries since I last watched Sesame Street. It would've been awesome to see durians make its debut in Star Wars! It's the ultimate weapon of mass destruction; instead of using lasers, it would deploy stinking poison gas. That'll show those rebels.

Durian wars...

In a galaxy far far away some imperial asshole cut open a durian and fucking smelled out the planet...The rebels didn't like that and rebelled and the death Star, a converted durian harvesting plant, moved in and...

One could easily crack a planet open with a huge laser, or... One could drop gazillions of exposed durian fruits onto the planets surface, reeking all the way to the atmosphere. No one could survive that. No one, thus rendering the planet uninhabitable for at least 1,000,000 years.

How about some printable paper? That seems like a useful thing right?

It sounds funny, but there is a website where you can download, and then print, paper. Okay, you are really printing types of paper. Like graph paper, which I have printed and used. Or other types of lined/marked paper.

Useful, if strange sounding.

One can never have enough paper, and I'm sure that website did a roaring trade back int he early-covid era when toilet paper was in short supply!

I'll take your paper and enjoy it hypothetically, although I guess in reality I could go to the website and simply print some right?

!ENGAGE 25

Yeah, you could do that. Or you could have me send some. More gifty that way I think. (Although less efficient, or probably useful)

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

I've downloaded and printed several different targets. Rumor has it that I once had a pellet gun range in my living room....

Wow it's nice , commenting on people's post makes them feel alive even when you don't have anything to give, thanks for this I appreciate.

No worries, you're welcome.

I was going to say, surely no one will mention poop but I see @bigtom13 got in there, although in a nice way!!! Sent the usual in the usual place at the usual time as per usual. ;0)

Come on man! Petrified Tortoise Poop is like little tiny rice grains, no real problem handling it.

I understand you send fresh and smelly. Not so much for me, thank you. Not that you were offering, I understand.

Maybe I was offering.

Although, I am quite the air-dryer - saves on the postage :0D

I had it in my head that tortoise poop world be like massive desiccated logs!

Petrified Tortoise Poop is completely naturally desiccated. Not force dried in any way. In Arizona, stuff dries out. Petrified Tortoise Poop is like 1% of it's original size.

Just wondering. Do you use your food dehydrator for the task or your wife's hairdryer.

It had to be the food dehydrator. That way I can just fire and forget ;0)

Enjoy your banana chips!

Thanks mate, I appreciate that. Felt like a begger so stopped asking. Lol. I appreciate it.

Can always count on @bigtom13 huh? 😉

In the photos I've seen of you, you're wearing sunglasses, so... Do I need to say more? I'd give you some sunglasses! Hahaha

Ah yes, G-dog and his ever-present sun glasses. It's rare to see me without them to be honest. Eyes are the windows of the soul and I don't often allow people to look inside.

These look like a very nice pair of sun glasses, and I thank you for this lovely hypothetical gift...When it is hypothetically sunny I will hypothetically wear them! Lol.

Thanks for joining in this week, I hope you stay around to engage with some of the others.

What would I mail you? Hmm that’s a bit of a tough one to narrow down.
There’s lots of unique things that are very New England but I think I’ll take it to my roots, back in old Italia.

This was a fun one of my experiences when I was in Italy. I studied abroad in Italy several years ago and it was by far the best thing I’ve done in my life for many reasons. This is not one of them. We were in Rome for the first time and exploring the magnificent ruins, seeing the typical tourist attraction stuff as a class. I had already been there about a week before we traveled to Rome. Our home base was in this magnificent city in Tuscany called Siena, the basis of my wife’s account name on here except some asshole had the nerve to claim the account with 1 s! Back to Rome though, we just left a church and we’re making our way to go get some food. It was our whole class, about 20 people so there’s a fair amount of space as presence to us on the old sidewalks. We couldn’t have been presented with something as sinful as we were. One of the street vendors had a bunch of the normal stuff in his cart but there was a section all wrapped in black drapes. Some of us saw it and naturally, our curiosity got us and we asked the professor ‘whats that over there? Man was he a bit uncomfortable, trying to explain this to a couple teenagers and some 20 something year olds. He stammered a little bit and said “that’s the adult section of that vendors cart” and the 19 year old girl in our group, the most innocent one of them it seems, said “you mean PORN?!?” Well within the earshot of the holy people coming out of the church, even the dead ones underneath the building could’ve heard it. Naturally now that we were the focus of attention for people, we should’ve just walked away and blended into the crowd. Unfortunately there were some that had to see what it was about so most of us, myself included, needed to see what sex toy vendors in public streets were carrying in a place as holy as old Rome. It was fairly tame and disappointing but that’s where I picked up the BDSM style mouth ball gag I’ve sent you in the mail, accompanied by the best body-odor scented romantic candle and the most incredible midget nudie mag they had. I also sent that package, completely unwrapped as I walk around the area, from the post office in the Vatican, to be even worse on the list for people who will be getting rejected many times over at the old Pearly Gates. I hope you like it!!

Based on a true story, by the way. The only thing we didn’t do was go to the vendor but my classmate, bless her naive soul, erupted with that in the middle of Rome. It was a special moment indeed lol embellished for fun factor but it was incredibly strange seeing porn vendors in the same cart as newspapers, food and stuff.

A unique and interesting hypothetical gift you have sent me...And come on, who doesn't want a nude-midget magazine right? I wonder, when your hypothetical gift arrives, how many of those pages will be stuck together?

I've been all over Italy and have spent a lot of time in Tuscany, Firenze and Siena mainly so I understand how awesome those places are. I heard Firenze is where most of the midgets in nude-midget magazines are sourced from...But that's just a rumour.

Thanks for your hypothetical gifts...So thoughtful.

!ENGAGE 25

Those Firenze midgets are notorious for their risqué behavior, that’s why they’re so popular!

Ah Siena, brings back some really nice, warm memories. I’m going to post some of the videos and pictures from that beautiful place. I’ve got a great video of the neighborhood (Contrada) that we were living in, they just won the Palio race before we got there, for the first time in like 25 years so they partied every night of the week lol

Tuscany is a nice region, cultured but relaxed and full of life. We love it.

Yeah, hopefully we will be able to visit it again but who knows with all the crazy stuff they are trying to implement right now as pretext to future scares.

We have had conversations about never travelling OS again. Not that that's what we have decided, just that it just might not be possible. Who knows. We have travelled the world quite extensively and we are grateful for that...We're not done...But who knows. You know?

Hi @galenkp,

You have many shipments lately, even if they are hypothetical, they will give you many ideas to think about and wish to have or taste them some time. Well maybe the most valuable is @hlezama's collection of burned out bulbs, fragile stuff, be careful with customs.

I am sending you a delicacy that in my country they call Tequeños, supposedly they originated in the city of Los Teques, capital of the State of Miranda, but when I investigated the fat book of Google I found its origin in the Middle East. To my surprise, I think that in Austratia there is a variant of it, I don't know what you will call it, perhaps, cheese finger or cheese roll. Of course, the one I'm sending you, in addition to the delicious melted cheese, has a special pineapple-based recipe, one of the last variants I have tried, definitely delicious.

Best of all, you don't have to wait to pick them up at customs, in #hive a lot of posts that indicate how to make them, so you can test your skills in the kitchen and surprise your wife, maybe Cleo likes it too . LOL.

Remember to cook but eat. I invite you to come and see @carolinacardoza's post, she explains it very well, even I made a round of them, I only miss the pineapple jam. I leave you the link below in case you want to try it.

https://hive.blog/hive-102880/@carolinacardoza/qurator-s-hive-top-chef-or-and-the-missing-tequenos-arrived-at-this-party-y-llegaron-los-tequenos-que-le-faltaba-a-esta-fiesta#@mafalda2018/qfqx0a

This is the good thing about the internet, while we hope that with your time machine you will bring from the future the transportation or materialization artifacts that we saw when we were young in Startrek.

Whenever someone sends me food I know they understand what makes me happy...Food.

This sounds like a tasty treat and I cant want to hypothetically eat them...Thank you for your generosity! 😁

!ENGAGE 25

Imagine lying rocking in the hammock that @maeugenia sent you from one side to the other, I just hope that the backyard of your home is not infested with mosquitoes, let's think not, a cellar with cold beers with a good portion of Tequeños bathed in pineapple jam, while meditatively contemplating the Buddha statuette sent to you by @meditations.

Observe the remains of all the things received, you get up to look for the enjoyment of the barbecue.

Make sure you don't leave Cleo out of the feast.

Then you rest something and finish the evening eating the homemade sweets and the Pirulin, courtesy of @machiqui63.

You're right, you would hypothetically be one of the luckiest people in Australia. LOL

actually sent. :)You form an attractive picture with your first paragraph...Tequeños...Now I'm wishing you could teleport some to me in real life...That hammock @maeugenia and the Pirulin @machiqui63 hypothetically sent me too! If only all these gifts on this post were

I have heard about the power of visualization, maybe it will be done in a short time, instead of teleporting them. Meanwhile, you can start preparing the tequeños, they are easy to cook, weaving a hammock is somewhat more complicated. LOL.

So I did some thinking and I was wondering what I would send if am to send anything to you. After along meditation I decided it will be nice to send some farm produce to you. If I send freshones they might grow why in the post office so I will love to dry it for some couple of weeks before sending I figured @krazzytrukker and @pooky-jax will love to have some as well 😊

Peanuts...Always a nice gift to receive...Tasty snack! These were grown by you?
