RE: Share your TUNES and WIN the post earnings! - TRACK OF THE WEEK! (ROUND 30) - Our winner last week @krazzytrukker received 22.57 Hive!

I just looked this up for a friend of ours. Everybody knows Etta James and her version of 'I'd Rather Go Blind' but Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa kick some ass and take some names with it. Not many women have the voice and the cajones to cover Etta James.

Sort:

Wow she has a lovely powerful voice, nice cover!

Not exactly a copy of Etta James, but damn can she wail.

I just heard a newly discovered recording of Bonnie Rait in 1971 covering Joni Mitchell's 'Woodstock'. She had every bit the voice Joni Mitchell had, the difference is that Bonnie Rait still does. I don't know that I can post it here, I think it's protected.

Oh did enjoy Joni Mitchell music.

Busy listening to this cover and you are right, powerful voice, wonderful when singers are able to maintain the caliber of notes going into older age. Never heard of her previously, so thanks!

I had to look a little, but look what I found! This was recorded at Syracuse University when Bonnie Rait opened for the Yardbirds. She was 21. She is still getting after it.

So many excellent musicians out there, I found her song on Rolling Stone that you mentioned.

Great songs another golden oldie in Yardbirds, reminders of amazing times, no one person took limelight so many switched and shared.

Did not have to sell a pretty face/body always talent and great passion. Support through buying albums or going to live shows, how times have changed!

What a beautiful song!!! and that VOICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!! Got goosies!!!! !tip
