Should brands just sell products or deliver values?

In today's world everyone is selling something, but how important it is for #brands to deliver value along with the products.

I came across the #LikeAGirl campaign from Procter & Gamble 's brand Always®. It sent a groundbreaking message highlighting the stigma behind doing things "like a girl". It targets societal norm implying boys' way is the superior, or the right way. Towards the end, an inspiring message is conveyed, that Girls are as fit & capable as boys, particularly during puberty - a stage of life extremely important to girls,& to Always® & their female hygiene products.

Through this campaign, Always acknowledges not just its audience, but the challenges they face. This campaign reflects the #culture of Always® as a brand.

Before coming up with an ad, brands need to rethink on their brand promise—'Is it just to deliver products or to deliver value along with the products?'

I believe that as #marketers,societal issues should not be off-limits to us. It opens up a new spectrum of connecting & resonating with our audience. Such stirring #marketingcampaigns help brands access #customer base that identifies with the brand's passion.
